This is the hardest thing
For me to say
the hardest thing,
is to let you have your way
the sun is low
and the moon is high
its perfect for
time to fly
But I'll never forget,
No, I'll never forget...
The days of that summer sky
and the nights of those lonely fights
the times we danced,
and the time we sang
the thoughts we shared
would you do anything?
Hold me back,
save me from myself
don't let go,
i'm scared to go back
As the memories,
try to go,
someone hold me tight
as they flow
these tears fall down
and i start to cry
so i'll always wonder
"Why, oh, why"
But for you I'll let go
yea, for you I'll let go
Of these memories we shared,
the time i cried,
cause you weren't there,
the days that past
inbetween
the day we met,
to the day we leave.
Hold me back,
Save me from myself
Don't let go,
I'm scared to go back
Scared to go back,
Yea, i'm scared to go back...
To me...

- I am a songwriter and poet and I like it pretty well. I know from experience that lyrics sound better with music but if you rhymed it we sound much better. The best book I have ever read about rhyming is the Berklee press's Songwriting, an Essential guide to Rhyming on amazon at http://www.amazon.com/Songwriting-Essential-Rhyming-Step-Step/dp/079351181X. According to this book, every songwriter goes through this "no rhyming stage" but it does help your songwriting at all. I always am interested
