I turn up my iPod.
It drowns out the noise.
When the shouts and laughter become too much,
It drowns them out completely.
I know that it should sound impossibly loud,
But through the earphones it just doesn't.
The music blends in to what's going on,
Replacing all those voices.
Trees scroll by the bus window,
I know my teammates are laughing.
But when all the noise becomes to much,
Just one thing that I need to do.
To drown out the noise,
I turn up my iPod.
The background music of my life.

- Title: Life's Background Music
- Artist: clockworkAvian
- Description: Just a poem about how I feel in large crowds or in moving vehicles when I turn on my iPod. It's for anyone out there who turns on music and suddenly life is just a movie scrolling by, one that you are a part of.
