-
enveoping each other,
a rush of blood floods.
muscles racing.
one single moment,
two unlikely suspects meet,
for their virgin voyage.
as they crash together,
waves pounding, sweat dripping,
the gloss gives them a sheen,
unlike any other sight unseen.
the quintessence of some ideal,
not to be known for years to come.
yet, their time is short,
and they must part ways.
the untrammeled imagination dying.
the connection has been made,
fates intertwined like twin serpents.
she will leave him.
he will write a novel.
they stare at each other.
be there balm in Gilead?
