Where's the horse riding through the field
And the eagle that said it could feel?
What about those who gave their lives on this day?
Have angels come to take them away?
Come and tell me what I don't remember.
Has this place fallen in the color of ember?
On this day, I remember running back home
To my bed and I dreamt of peace to roam.
I woke up tomorrow and cried that day
Praying that angels would come to carry them away.
I remember when this land was ours
And we didn't care about riches or powers.
I remember that this land used to be kind
And it kept all of us in mind.
So what happened to this place?
And how can you look at yourself in the face?
I remember when life was like the wind.
It changed so much, but we remembered our kin.
And I remember the angels that cried
For our loved ones and how they died.
But what happened to our home
And where are the people that used to roam?
