-
a cold september
draws a white winter
on a crisp and eerie landscape
mornings glow covered by last nights snow
snuffed out by mid days fog
a still calm and lonely quiet
while everything remains suspended
walking through clouds unlifted
your thoughs racing,remain unsifted
droling upon vacant trails
wandering still wondering
why you have lost everything
you worked so hard to watch it fall
you earned it burnt it now its gone
start from scratch a new begining
make or break in the biting cold
tough breaks have you growing old
past your prime before your time
your hair turns gray as snow
but you keep trying
even though you're dying
in hopes you make it
before you die
