After living in your dreams
For almost sixteen years
Being ripped Open at the seams
Reveals the deepest of my fears
Reality is never
The easiest thing to bear
At a moment's notice, life severs
Realizing nobody really cares
Take me as you see me,
Choose the easy judgment
Don't look at what lies beneath
Unseen, painful, and permanent
I'm replaceable
In the minds of those I knew
Memories erasable
A girl who walked right on through
I'm too sensitive,
Or that's what I tell myself.
Maybe I am just over reactive
I'm another dusty book on the shelf.
When I see my reflection
In the mirror every morning
I strive for society's perfection
But behind my eyes, I'm mourning
Take me as you see me,
Choose the easy judgment
Don't look at what lies beneath
Unseen, painful, and permanent
I'm replaceable
In the minds of those I knew
Memories erasable
A girl who walked on through
Finding someone like me
Would be easy enough, I guess
With the same ideas, loves, and belief
The same problems to confess
But when- or if- you look back
And recall forgotten memories
Tell me if you laugh
Or simply slip into reveries
But I'm still always replaceable
A girl who walked right through
Our memories erasable
I know I'll never be good enough for you.
