This week I decided to start doing anime reviews in my journal, and share some of my favorite series with you all. =]
So, on to my first review - Loveless.
Loveless is a shounen-ai, with a touch of shojo-ai in the series. Shounen-ai, for those of you who do not know, is light boy on boy love. Kissing and light play would cover that. Any sexual encounters would be yaoi for boy x boy, and yuri for girl x girl. The series involves a middle-school boy by the name of Ritsuka. He is always trying to avoid getting close to people, since the people he loved turned on him, because he apparently changed when his brother, Semei, died. A man by the name of Soubi then enters Ritsuka's life forcibly, and on their first encounter alone, Soubi decided to tell Ritsuka that he loved him, and planted a kiss on the twelve-year-old's lips! The two grow close slowly, throughout a twelve episode series. Magical fighting is also included in the series, in which case Ritsuka is the target, and Soubi is the only thing that can protect Ritsuka. On a 1-4 scale, I give the series a 3, because the series ended very confusingly.
So.
This is a series I recommend for any person who enjoys romance and magic.
Next time: Gravitation.
