“Tsunade Sama!” Shizune flung the door open in a panic.
“What is it Shizune?”
“Miss Shizune…” Kiba said under his breath.
“Shikamaru squad just arrived at the hospital with Itachi! He’s hurt badly and in critical condition!” She spoke frantically.
“Kiba this will have to wait.” Tsunade said as she got up and walked away with Shizune.
“Ahhhuuu…” Kiba sighed. He walked around Tsunade’s desk and watched her walk away through the window.
“Ruu ruu roof!” Akamaru yipped.
“It has been a long time since we last met,”
Kiba looked out the window lost in deep thought.

“Move…” Tsunade pulled a med ninja out of the way.
“Tsunade sama?” Sakura looked to the Hokage.
“Alright let’s get him in stable condition!” She spoke calmly. Shizune, Sakura and Tsunade worked to stop the bleeding. Itachi had lost a lot of blood and couldn’t afford to lose any more. Shizune stopped the bleeding and Sakura cleaned the wounds.
“He’s got a fever.” Sakura said wiping sweat off her forehead.
“Alright we need to cool him down. It’s form the blood loss. We need to get some blood in here.”
“But his blood is rare!” Shizune stammered.
“That’s true.” Tsunade looked around trying to avoid looking directly at the blood.
“My…my blood should work.”
“Sakura..?” Tsunade looked at her apprentice.
“After all he’s my brother. Plus our blood type is the same.” She looked at her brother.
“Fine…you get her ready to give blood!” Tsunade said as she grabbed a nearby med ninja.
“R…right away!” He said.

Out side the E.R Rei was waiting with Shikamaru. Kira, Seiji, and Yutaro were on the roof. They have something with roofs, if you’re looking for them that’s where you should look. Rei was crying in Shikamaru’s arms. He looked worried. Not for Itachi, he didn’t care if Itachi lived or died, but for Rei because she did care.
“Rei don’t worry he’ll be alright.”
“Shi…Shikamaru!” She cried.
He pulled her close and held her tight.

“You think he’ll die?” Kira asked looking at Seiji.
“Who knows?” Yutaro said looking out into space.
“I hope he doesn’t…” Seiji sighed as he leaned on the wall.
“Seiji..?” Both of his friends asked turning to him.
“It’s just that…My mom and Miss Rei will be sad if he does so…”
“I get it…You don’t want to see them sad. Right..?” Yutaro said as he turned to stare out at the sky again.
“Yeah…” Seiji looked out at the sky too.
“There are a lot of clouds out today, but it’s nice…” Kira sighed.
“Yeah…This is Shikamaru sensei’s kind of day…” Seiji said.
“That’s for sure…Shikamaru sensei…” Yutaro sighed.
“What?” Seiji asked.
“What’s his relationship with that girl? Rei, Right?”
“Yeah…I don’t know I thought they were just friends…at least that’s what I was told.” Seiji looked at Yutaro.
“It seems like they’re more than ‘just friends’. I mean I thought Ino-san and Shikamaru- sensei were going out. But I’ve never seen him act anything like that around Ino san.” Yutaro said.
“That’s true. I think Shikamaru is just friends with Ino-san and more than friends with Miss Rei.” Kira put in her two cents.
“That’s what it looks like, but…I think Rei has a thing for Itachi…” Seiji said as he watched a bird fly away.
“It does seem that way…” Yutaro sighed.
“It’s also seems we have a love triangle too don’t you think.” Kira asked.
“Yeah…” Seiji sighed from the long day.
“Looks that way…” Yutaro turned to his friends.
It was silent. No one had anything else to say so they sat in silence.

“Sakura, how do you feel?” Tsunade asked.
“I’m alright.”
“You’re not lightheaded are you?” Tsunade asked another question.
“No…” Sakura sighed and looked to her brother.
*How’d you get yourself in to this? Itachi you reckless fool…*
The steady beat of the heart monitor was the only noise Sakura could hear anymore. She listened close as it smoothed out to the steady normal beat.
“Alright that should be enough.” Tsunade’s voice broke the silence.
“…” Sakura was quiet.
“I’ll go tell Rei he’s alright now.” Shizune said.
“No! I will…I’ll tell her.” Sakura got of the bed.
“Careful if you move to fast you’ll faint.” Tsunade warned.
“I’m fine.”

“It’s getting dark let’s go see if he’s alright.” Yutaro said as he headed for the stairs. Kira followed without a word.
“Seiji are you coming?” Yutaro asked.
“Uhh…yeah…” He walked fast to catch up to them the slowed to their pace. *I hope he’s ok…* Seiji thought. They walked down the stairs quietly. Then they headed to the ER. As they were coming down the hall they saw Rei jump into Sakura’s arms. She was saying ‘Thank you Thank you!’ Shikamaru stood up and put his hand on Rei’s shoulder. Sakura looked at him and smiled.
*She looks pale…* He thought.
“You had to give blood.” He said to her.
“Ho…how did you know?” She asked.
“I’m a genius remember…” Was all he said.
She smiled and giggled.
“Thank you Sakura. You saved him…” Rei said as she pulled back. Tears sparkled in her eyes. They were tears of joy. Tsunade stepped out of the emergency room.
“Rei…” She smiled.
“Thank you…Tsunade sama…” Rei smiled her appreciation.
Tsunade nodded and went back to her office.

“I’m sorry I had to leave so abruptly.” She apologized as she walked in.
“That’s alright…It’s your job as Hokage. I understand.” Kiba said.
Tsunade sat down.
“Alright back to busyness. Where was it that you caught his scent?”
“At the southern border of the Fire country.” Kiba said.
“How long has it been..?” Tsunade asked.
“Huh?” Kiba was confused.
“How long has it been since he left?”
“It’s been over 30 years…” Kiba smiled slightly remembering his old friend.
“We’ll keep this information between us for now.”
“Alright…” Kiba said.
“Ruu…” Akamaru whined.
“You two can go…”
Kiba and Akamaru left.*Naruto…* Kiba thought.

Yutaro, Seiji, and Kira left the hospital and were walking around the village. Ai was sitting on a wall with Kyo and Ryo was leaning up against the wall. Seiji and Yutaro walked up to them.
“Hi Seiji...” Ai smiled to her brother.
“Hi…” Seiji said to all of them.
“You guys done with your mission already? I thought it was to the Sand village.” Ryo asked Yutaro.
“It was. But something came up it’s been postponed.” Yutaro answered.
“Ha…They should just give the mission to us. We ‘d get it done right.” Ryo got cocky.
“Wanna say that to my face though guy?”
“Why not..?” Ryo said standing up straight. “Our team is just better than yours deal with it!” Ryo yelled in Yutaro’s face.
Yutaro clenched his fist. Kyo saw this and jumped off the wall.
“Wanna fight? Do ya?” He said.
“Kyo…” Ai said. He paid no attention to her.
“You couldn’t beat me if you tried.” Yutaro grinned.
Seiji stepped beside him. “He means you couldn’t beat us…if you tried.” Seiji grinned too.
“Bring it on!” Ryo Yelled.
“Guys don’t fight it’s been a long day!” Kira pleaded to her teammates.
Ai watched from the wall she’d jump in went the time was right.
“Just try me.” Seiji said to Kyo.
“Come on Ryo wat’cha waiting for?” Yutaro egged him on.
Ryo came at Yutaro. Ai jumped off the wall so fast you couldn’t see her. She kicked Ryo so hard he flew back.
“That’s enough!” She yelled putting him in his place.
“Owww….”Ryo whined. *Damn I’m glad she’s on my team.* He thought.
*Man that’s why I love that girl* Kyo smiled as he thought.
*That’s my sister for you. Don’t piss her off.*
“You go girl!” Kira said as she ran up to Ai.
“Well somebody has to keep these guys in line.” She laughed.
Kyo walked over to help Ryo up.
“Man you gotta stop startin’ things up.” He said.
“Yeah you’re one to talk. You’re the one that backed me just now.”
“I wasn’t gonna let you go against both of ‘em by yourself.” Kyo sighed. “I know how ya feel about Yutaro…But really man…don’t get so cocky.”
“What ever…”
“I’ll just pretend you said yes.” Kyo said.
“OWWW, OWWW, OWWW!”
Kyo and Ryo looked over at Kira who was pulling on Yutaro and Seiji’s ears and scolding them.
*Gulp…* “Glad that’s not us…” They both said.
“Move it!” Ai voice rose from behind them.
“Yikes…” They crawled across the ground.
“Didn’t you hear me? I said get moving!”
“Y…yes ma’am!” They got to there feet and she pulled them away.

“Now don’t start anymore fight’s with team 8!” Kira let go of their ears. They were so red and swollen that they looked like tomatoes.
“We won’t if they don’t” Yutaro huffed.
“Yeah…” Seiji said.
“I’m going home! I’ve had enough of you two for one day.” Kira stormed off.
“Huuu…” Seiji sighed.
“I don’t feel like going home just yet…” Yutaro sighed.
“Me either…Let’s go down to the river.”
“Yeah why not...” Yutaro followed Seiji.
They sat on the river bank and watched the river.
“How’s your ear…?” Seiji asked.
“How do you think it is?” Yutaro said turning and showing the ear that had been pulled.
“Pahahahahaha!” Seiji laughed.
“What?” Yutaro looked at his friend angrily.
“It looks like you have a tomato on your head.” Seiji laughed. He rolled on the ground and Yutaro caught a glimpse of his ear witch also looked like a tomato. He burst out laughing. They laughed for about a minute then lay still on the river bank trying to catch their breath.
“Your…sister is… amazing.” Yutaro said breathlessly.
“Yeah…” Seiji said staring up at the sky.
“That style she used was different from yours isn’t it?”
“Yeah I use the Uchiha style my mom’s style. Ai uses the Hyuga style. We both know both styles.”
“I see…” Yutaro sat up “It’s late we should go…”
“Yeah…it has been a long day…”
They got up and walked away.
“You don’t like that Kyo do you?”
“No he keeps trying to get with Ai and I don’t like it!” Seiji said annoyed.
“Night Seiji…”
“See ya tomorrow Yu…” Seiji said as he walked up the path to his house.
When he got home Ai was waiting out side for him.
“Where have you been?”
“I was with Yutaro down at the river…”
“Does your ear hurt?”
“No I’m used to it.”
“So you get Kira mad a lot then?”
“I guess…But it’s not like I try to.”
“Yeah I know you don’t try to get her mad.”
“It’s late let’s go in…”
“Alright…”
They walked in and went to bed.
At the edge of the village a mysterious figure loomed in the shadows…
