((~Journal stolen from my MySpace, for those who've read it there~))
Happy 4th, of course. To everyone I couldn't say it to yesterday. No net time on said day, for awesome family/friend get together-ness. :3
When I woke up, Mom and I took a walk down to the store for food stuffs so we could barbecue. We were supposed to go the day before, but Mom was in the midst of an RP she just couldn't leave hangin'... so she felt bad about not taking me then when I wanted to get out of the house.
Sokay, we got it done. That's all that matters.
So yesterday my Sock came over! We went swimming and ate hot dogs and sausage and chips and drank our way through 3 batches of kool-aid.
Mom had her little video camera and took random footage of utter randomness that would only make true sense in our semi-nonsensical household. <3 And the bbq. She shot the food. The food had its two minutes of fame. =3
Tessa had brought a camera and we took a bunch of random pictures with it. All kinds of pointless fun stuff. As well as some not-so-pointless yet still fun stuff. We like cameras. :3 Once the films developed, there'll probably be pictures to share. x3
Later after swimming we hung out in the living room and lived and listened to music and drew and wrote and sang and "what iffed" and all that stuff. Tessa wrote to Jeremy and included something I said and that turned into like a couple of pages (?) of us writing back and forth to each other. We think Jeremy will find it quite amusing. ~nod~
Eric drew a picture of Tessa before he went off into his room and played Odin Sphere, Tessa fell asleep on the floor with Eric's pillow, I played some Tetris Attack, cause the Super Nintendo just needed some love. When Tessa woke up she and Eric and I went and bought ice cream ((with a little help from teh Mommage)) with which we sat around the television and rotted our brains with junk for a while, until we had to leave for the fireworks.
The fireworks were awesome.
Mom actually got a pretty decent filming of them with her camera. About twenty minutes of messed up audio and spiffy flaring sparkly stuff on a black background. We were sitting about as close to the shoot off site as we were allowed to sit, so they were right on top of us. The burst of each one just rang throughout yer body. Man...
I wish we could go through yesterday just one more time.
Only with Robby with us.
Much love to him. I hope he had something of a good day on the base. <3
And this be the Mel, signing off.
