"Bye, Riku..." Yuki looked back at the mouth of the cave, as the rapidly shrinking image of her older brother waved slowly at her. The small shapeshifter pulled back dark strands of her hair, clutching the wrinkled hand of the Silver Witch. The caves where eerily silent, echoing the soft clatter of hoves, making it seem much larger than it really was. "Does daddy not like me anymore?"
"Child..." Silva looked down at the girl, and even though the darkness compromised her vision, she could see she was starting to cry. "Your father believes you to be cursed. Your Grandfather was killed the instant you where born, and Lord Hakujou has never been the same since." The old Cretair shook her head softly. A child her age shouldn't be treated that way for being born in those circumstances.
"So then it's my fault Grampa is dead... If I didn't exist, then he'd be alive and daddy would be happy." Silva let herself hiss lowly at the girl's morbid words. That fool of a lord... Treating his daughter in this way!
"No, child. Don't think that way. Everyone deserves to exist, and it was just your Grandfather's time to go." As the Witch finished saying this, they came upon the large centeral room in the cave.
At the very center of the room, five arcking crystals flowed from the same base. Each was a different color, each a different texture. The largest and longest was a clear black, like obsidian, ending in a sharp point. The second largest was a deep purple, glinting evily, and made of a thousand grains. This one ended in a spiked club. The other three where blured to the point of almost not being seen at first, at least it appeared this way to Yuki.
"Which of the fronds do you see the clearest, child?" This was the first of many rooms, many miles down into the ground. It was best the girl did not know that these where a series of tests, but not in the sence of wits.
"The black one and the purple one. Why do they look like they're going to attack eachother?"

At the moment, I'm in the process of cleaning out my journal. I'm only keeping stuff for my story, and a few things I can't live without.
