The rose is a flowering shrub of the genus rosa. Roses form a group of climbers or shrubs which are sometimes very prickly. This species of flowers can 20 meters tall, but this usually never happens. Ususally when the rose trails other plants, it reaches 2-5 meters.
People don't only use roses for landscaping needs, people also use roses for security reasons. As you know, most rose species have sharp thorns on them.
If you plant roses under your windows or drainpipes, it may help stop break-ins.
Rose hips are sometimes eaten because of their high vitamin C content. They also contain iron, vitamins A, D, and E. Rose hips are also used for marmalade, herbal tea, jam, jelly, syrup, beverages, pies, and bread.
(Woops... Thats more than 1 or 2 paragraphs lol).
People sometimes draw roses. Pierre-Joseph Redouté is an example of one of the artists that drew very detailed roses. Henri Fantin-Latour wass another one. In fact, a type of rose was named after Henri Fantin-Latour. The rose was called 'Fantin-Latour'.
Roses are sometimes used inside idioms, poems, etc.
