Let's start out with some random news on sports.
Of course, as some of you might know, the World Series just ended with the Red Sox as the champs. I don't even know who they won against though.
I, for one, did not even realize that the World Series took place, due in part to the fact that I stopped following the season after the Yankees' utter loss. And obviously, I'm a bit sore that the Red Sox won, but whatever.
Speaking of the Yankees though, Joe Torre has rejected a new contract with the Yankees. Can't blame him too much since they did decrease his salary. Yankee fans will miss him though, he was a great player, and a great manager, that is before it resulted in straight consecutive losses. Still, he did get the Yankees to the World Series several times, but I guess he's just getting old now.
Despite being a Torre fan, I'm looking forward to Joe Girardi as the new team manager. He was an alright player in his time, but now we'll see how good he is in managing a team.
Well, I won't be "journaling" about sports for a long time, so be at ease if you didn't care for this much. Of course, you didn't have to read it if you don't like sports or baseball...then you just have yourself to blame.
