Yuki-Onna ~The lady of the snow,
Snow fell in drifts, obscuring the sight of the poor frozen traveler. He had not seen a body for days, as he slowly made his way from the mountains to the city. Tired and cold, he began searching for shelter when a soft chuckle came from behind him. He spun around to see a marvelous woman dressed in silks and furs from head to foot, crystals of ice crowning her head, and pearls of snow framing her soft skinned face.
Wings of ice,as clear as glass, hung off her shoulders, with small drifts of snow falling from them to her icy slippers. The fine lady was not like any the traveler had ever seen before, and as she leaned down to give him a frozen kiss,he would never see this beauty of dreams, ever again.
Her blue lips smiled as she straightened up, his body black and lifeless as drifts of snow fell silently upon the serene snow-covered landscape.
