Hey guys!
Yesterday, I was only on for a few minutes, and was going to add this bizarre story, but then I left, and by the time I got back on the computer, it was midnight, and I really didn’t want to type it.
And now I don’t remember it.
So anyway, our church had a bake sale today, so yesterday, I made cookies and chocolate-dipped pretzels.
And because I love you guys, I’m giving you the recipes!
For the cookies, you’ll need:
1 cup margarine
½ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup finely chopped walnuts (or pecans, if you’re allergic to walnuts, like me)
48 chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Directions:
Beat the first 3 ingredients until fluffy. Beat in 1 cup of the flour, then work in remaining cup of flour and the nuts, mixing well. Wrap one heaping teaspoonful of dough around a chocolate kiss, sealing well, then shaped into a ball. Place them on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 375 F. oven for about 12 minutes, but do not brown them. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Store in airtight containers in a cool place.
Yummy! They are called snowball surprise cookies…
For the pretzels, you’ll need:
1 bag of chocolate chips
A bag or so of pretzels
Directions:
Put a pot of water on the stove, turn on low heat. Put a metal bowl over the pot and pour chocolate chips in. DO NOT get any water in the chocolate. Stir the chocolate until melted and creamy. Then dip pretzels in.
