So You Want to Know a Bit More, do Ya?
For those of you who have nothing better to do and wish to learn more about moi.
Personality:
If you met any of my friends, they would probably tell you that I am gullible. And could be quite a ditz. They might also mention that I was an incredibly bubbly person, talked incredibly loud at all times, tended to spaz out on the floor, run into things (poles, walls, people...), trip over a crack in the sidewalk, and make them laugh at all times. Basically, if you want to have a sleepover that involves spazzing out, drinking tea until three in the morning (12 cups in one night...), eating lots of food (mmm...brownies!), and then random philosophical talks, I'm your girl. However, they would also bring up the fact that I'm a really good listener, caring, deeply loyal to my friends, sensitive to their emotions, smart, a perfectionist student, a person who writes way too much for essays, sweet, and in general a really good friend.
With people I don't know I can be a little more reserved, especially in large groups. Even though I love to meet people and will try to be friendly and make them feel welcomed, I have trouble sometimes making interesting conversation. Unless we bond over a cup of tea. Then (as long as you like maté) we can probably converse quite nicely.
Likes:
Running in the rain, snuggling, curling up by the fire with a good book, drinking tea, hugging friends, writing, being with animals, reading anywhere, laughing, dancing, playing the violin, chocolate, orchestra, a good heart-to-heart conversation, nature, cowboy boots, baking chocolate chip cookies (or baking anything really), holding hands, rings, spooning, local farmer's markets, eating frosting out of the can, spinning around in long skirts, hiking, listening to music, horseback riding, late night phone calls, my Southern accent, the beach, learning new languages, getting tickled, falling alseep next to people I love, traveling, anything involving the Lord of the Rings.
Dislikes:
Stuck up people, bananas, people who refuse to listen to other beliefs than their own, extreme religiousness, coconut, crappy TV shows (*cough* Gossip Girl & co. *cough*), President Bush, poser people (of any kind), outsourcing, the direction capitalism/America is going today, long nails, narrow-minded people, sleeping on my back, spiders, eggplant, humidity, the desert, being too cold, when people won't come out and say why they're angry but instead just go around sulking/ignoring me, Starbucks coffee, doing badly on tests, war, super short/tight/revealing/otherwise skanky clothing.
Favorite Hangouts and Places to be:
Powell's bookstore in downtown Portland (it fills up an entire city block--largest bookstore in the world--and is a maze of old books and people reading in corners). New Zealand. A tea shop called Dao of Tea in SE Portland (AMAZING maté chai...I can drink a whole pot by myself). The Portland Farmer's Market. The Oregon beaches. Anywhere where they speak another language. A tea shop called Tea Chai Té in NW Portland (mmm...bubble tea...). The patio at Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park. An amazing bagel shop called Bageland. A coffee shop called Ristretto Roasters. Waterfront Park along the Wilamette River. The Crystal Ballroom (best concerts EVER. And the floor moves...). Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. Any National Park. Any place in Portland. My house.
Music:
Okay so I'm one of those annoying people who lists EVERY singe band they like. It's not because I want to seem all stuck-up and "cool" because of my music. It's just that music is basically my life, I couldn't live without it, and I can't choose a select few favorite bands.
