I wander far from the city that I love in search of my love
She is waiting at the end of a lonely highway in lands far awy
Broken windows, run down cities, broken dream of lives who wander just as I guide the way
Burning lanters weather the heartless winds of lonely highway, streets that lead nowhere branch of like blood vains from a beating heart
So cold and lonely are these pathways that open to me, less my should not waver from my path or never see my true love
She's waiting for in a lonely field, clutching a flower that is dying as the seconds pass way
My feet cannot bare to slumber for a second to reach her heart

She's been dreaming for so long of that I would come
She cannot stand one more minute, but knows that she must
And forget about lust, for temptations come easy and leave without reason

Far away our hearts, yet so close in hearts
The broken homes that I pass and the bodies of unfurtante fates
Mixed in sweet potion of bloodshed and love
Walking beside me our soldier share the same dream, marching to their loved one who wait in the lonely field
As we walk to our true loves one by one they all drop
And the rest of us know that one more tear will shed
Yet along side these brother I walk
Each and every single one has battle that need to be won
Journeying one a highway that has it's graves dug, but yet hunger for more

As we near our dream to our loves, they drop faster and harder pleading move on
Soon there many tear to be shed and daughters without fathers
As walk onto the field, some have nothing waiting for them

My true love runs to me
She's holding a dried up flower and gives it to me
Some would said it isn't the best gift, but to me it's the beautiful gift to given
Together we dance, walk home hand in hand
Finally we're truly together forever til death do us part
