The Loss of Love- Chris Seekings

This war is erupting
I duck my head and run for cover
I take her by the hand as I run
Ducking and dodging only to recieve a fallen lover

War had taken her away
I hit the ground and held her close
My eyes cry and I hold her close
This war waits to see my pose

The war in my head kills me
But I found another love after many years
It's peaceful now and my head has settled
The happiness makes cause for tears

I'd do anything to protect it
Anything to prevent another war
I take my love in my arms and hurry away
The fear erupts and shakes my core

I bring her here and hold her tight
Protecting her from that barren wasteland
She smiles and loves me for that sacrifice
But the war returns for one last stand

I take her and I run
Activily i search for cover
I duck and dodge until I reach safety
Again I'm delivered a fallen lover

Struck with grief I hold her close
Crying again holding her tight
The tears stop and anger takes a grip
I grab anything as hate controls out of spite

The war became my enemy
Slashing and cutting at my racing mind
All I feel is hate and anger
The things I lost I'll never find
