THE SHOW IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!

And what a marvelous show it was. We performed for three nights, tonight being the finale. Each night was flawless . . . mostly. And each night, we recieved standing ovations! Uh! It was awesome. Words cannot describe how thrilled I am to have been a part of it. The Scarlet Pimpernel! I am a little saddened that it is my last musical. Who knows if I'll do it again in college? And it was my last performance with the people I've gone to school with my whole life. But still, I wouldn't have chosen another show to put on.

Where I goofed:
[x]The first night, I missed my chorus entrance. Not a problem. There are how many of us in the chorus? Like a million? I wasn't needed.
[x]The second night, I rushed into my costume and ended up with my buttons buttoned wrong. So...instead of just going with it, I fixed them. On stage. I don't think anyone noticed.
[x]Backstage, my klutziness kicked in and I knocked over the girls' changing screen, tripped over my 'wife's' dress when we were crossing to the other wing, tripped over a misplaced shoe and grabbed the lead guy's pants for support (that didn't work well), and spilled my water bottle, causing a slippery, puddle-y mess in the middle of a trafficky area. !Danger! That happened over the course of the three nights.

The Show:
[x] The set was fantastic. Everything was from scratch, pretty much. The lead guy's father built the giullotine, and my mother made the fake heads that got chopped off. One of our Tech People rigged it so that fake blood splurted out when the heads where severed from the bodies. Note: The fake blood tastes like mint.
[x]The Fancy Fop scene was so FUN! I loved it. We all wore colourful animal print. I was in cheetah! I loved it. We had to do this cute little dance with our hankies. And the lyrics are funny as sin. YouTube this scene. The Creation of Man- The Scarlet Pimpernel. Laughs! The crowd's reaction was more than satisfying.
[x]The Rescue Ballet = best scene in the show. The script said to do it as a Keystone Kops kinda thing. AKA Slapstick, basically. But our director said no. We are doing it like a ballet. Of course, none of the guys in our Drama Club (myself included) KNOW ballet. So it was just a dance. We had to play "ruses! Tricks and games" to "outwit the bastards". We choreographed a dance where two Bounders had to take out a soldier. It was so fun. Of course, there were chorus members on stage, being the angry mob that was protesting the guillotine. And we had to rescue -- Oh! NVM! It's too hard to explain. It was FANTASTIC!

There was no cast party! We usually have a cast party after Saturday's performance, but this year, no one offered to host it. :sadness: But Adam, the uber hawt football player, invited me over to his house on Sunday to watch a recording of Friday night. I am so excited! I can't wait! As far as I know, I'm the only one he talked to. From the cast, anyway. Not that I care. If others are there, so be it. They can watch. (> u 0)
I hesitated, though. I mean, I just broke up with my first 'long-ish' boyfriend. Do I really want to get into it again so soon? What the hell? I don't care anymore. If something happens, I won't stop it, but I won't flirt as much as I usually do. Besides, what would I have said to decline? Sorry, I just got out of a relationship and can't handle watching a movie with you. Yeah. That would work. I don't even think he's gay/bi. He's just hawt.
But why would he ask only me, from the cast, to go watch it with him if he wasn't 'interested'? I dunno. Maybe he's just a curious teenager, like the last footballer. Maybe the rest of the cast hates him, because they judge people stereotypically. Maybe he really is interested. I don't know.
Yet.

That was the show. I'll be sure to update on how tomorrow (Sunday with Adam(<--- do you not see irony, there!)) goes. Until then:
