Meeting the Pikmin

Pikmin are small creatures that are about an inch tall to us.There are 5 kinds;red,blue,yellow,white,and purple.Each with it's own characteristics.Red have noses and are resistant to fire,yellow host ears and are resistant to electricity,blue have a mouth and can go in water and live,white have red eyes(very sensitive and can see underground(they are also the smallest Pikmin,and Purple have hairs on their head and are the strongest(heaviest as well)but are very slow.When Pikmin are first shot from an Onion(not our kind of onion) they sprout from the ground and leaves appear on the sprouts on their head.Over time,if left in the ground,the leaves change to buds then to flowers.You can pluck them at any time.When plucked they follow you until you disband them,they are thrown by you,go off to pluck grass,or get hit with fire/water/electricity*/poison and you must whistle to save them.They sing as you venture through the world and they would do almost anything for you.One thing is for certain,they'd give their life for you to live.

*You cannot save Pikmin if they electrocuted.

To be seperated from the other 5 kinds there is one more,the Bulbmin.A Bulbmin is a Bulblorb,the Pikmin's main predator and prey,that has been infected by a Pikmin parasite.The parasite sprouts a stem on the Bulblorb's back and takes comeplete control...or mostly takes control,it can't supress the Bulblorb's ravenous hunger.The Bulblorb's young follows it and mimicks the parent until they mature,but if you kill the parent they start to panic.If you whistle for them they rush to you.They are immune to everything but cannot be taken out of the sublevels.
