And now for something completely different...
...or as different as a damned blog can be, anyway. It started out as a project, it devolved into a chronicling of my misanthropy, rage, and occasional fits of glee. It sounds good, though, and might even make you laugh.
A three-month ********' bender
In response to a spam thread in Lifestyle Discussion asking random Gaians to provide an excuse for this kid skipping school:

Sorry but there is no way that I am going to be helping you. If you skipped school then you deserve the consequences.

I was born for it.

Words cannot describe how stupid that is....thus i emote to you: rolleyes

Skipping school once and a while is not a bad thing. Just as long as it dosen't become a habit.

Are... are you serious? rofl

OP: Can't you just say you were sick?
Or family emergency. Uncle died and whatnot.

Do they really need a reason? My school never asked as long as someone called in.

You crazy person, thinking actions have consequences. Those are for other people, like people who buy the shoes we're just going to die without, and people who don't really like that band and just started to after they sold out. Those people did bad things and deserve our pubescent shitstorm. But if we cut class, we should be rewarded and given a passing grade and handed everything we want.

This, dear readers, is why I cannot stand people. This is also why I enjoyed being an intern because, even if I did not get paid, I was in the business of consequences. We clearly need more of them in the world, because it's not skipping class I object to-- that would be massively hypocritical-- it's being a naive, weak, petulant little s**t about what happens the next day. The ideal choice is between facing up to the consequences of your actions, be they bad or good, or not acting. That the only choice now is to act as if you're in a vacuum blows my mind. Here's hoping that eventually, Mommy and Daddy stop paying the bills and providing lodging, and these adorable little poppets decide it's okay not to go to work or pay the electric company.
