Chibidrow's Glorious Journal of Absolute Nothingness!
Probably just the ramblings and idea's of a stay-at-home Ding-Dong ^_^ FEAR MY WHIMSY!!!
Not a good week...
This has not been my week so far. sweatdrop
Monday morning I had a dream where my two biggest goldfish are dead (well, the white one with the red streak was dead, the big gold was cut in half but still happily swimming around), and monday night as I go to turn off the light on the aquarium, big gold was dead. Yesterday when I fed them in the morning, they were all fine, but when Evan got home with dinner, I looked over and saw streaky dead.
And the blasted aliens came and took another one of my algae eaters!! scream

But that's not the end of it...

When Evan and I came home from our hotel stay, his little bro (his mom and bro stayed the night with Renee) told us that we have a mouse in the house. So Evan went and got us a live trap and I baited it with a peanut buttered dorito.
It sat there for a week and a half with no success. And since we never saw any evidence of the thing I put the trap away. Even when we had to redesign the house for the new wall unit we got on Sunday there was nothing.

Now, yesterday night Evan was playing Majora's Mask and I was at the compy, half paying attention to the game and what I was doing when perephrial vision caught something grey streak across the floor and disappear near the pile of Small Thing's toys (of course rolleyes ). Evan had jumped up since it ran from under his couch to the long one.
I promptly reset the trap (peanut buttered animal cracker this time), and made Evan put it near the long couch.

Everything was fine after that, then I felt something brush the back of my heel. I look down just in time to see the little grey streak go under my desk.
I think Evan needs a new set of ears because I freaked when that happened.

"IT TOUCHED MY LEEEEHEHEHEEEG!!!" gonk

"...ow..." stare

You know, I'm an animal lover, but screw that! Evan's buying glue traps after work today (we absolutely refuse snapper traps). 'Sides, with a baby in the house, you gotta take some drastic measures sometimes.

It's funny though, I absolutely adore rats, but I hate mice. Go figure. sweatdrop

That.........doesn't sound like fun. x.x; I rather dislike rodents, myself. There were a few in this house once. I only saw one once or twice, but the evidence was pretty clear. Anyway, my grandmother used these little cubes of rat poison. o.o; I think the rat poison bothered me more than the rodents themselves. x.x; Figures.

My mom used the poison cubes once. The rat died between the walls and started smelling up her room. sweatdrop
That's why we won't use those either. 3nodding

Rats are much bigger and more intelligent, plus they live longer and have a closer genetic resemblance to man ...here endeth the lesson
