"Sometimes, you don't need to say anything for others to know what you're saying."
The girl has always been mute for as long as her or anyone has known. No one knew why and no one knew how. She has been seen rarely in Barton by herself wandering the square or sitting next to the lake. No one new her name, since she wasn't to speak it. Most didn't bother talking to her because there was no point in talking to anyone that couldn't speak back. Kynia has been shut out from society it seemed. The young woman didn't want anyone to get close to her, frankly she was scared to death.
Occasionally, she'd be seen fishing sitting along on the bank alone. She seemed so content when she was alone. Though, when anyone would approach her she tensed up and ran away without a second thought. Kynia didn't want to be hurt. She didn't want anyone to be burden by her missing voice and didn't want to be burden with someone hurting her. It was just best if she was to be alone forever.
The girl drew quite a lot and enjoyed watching the clouds past by in the sky. Kynia was too shy and weary to submit any art to the arena. No doubt she did need the gold, but she didn't want people to notice her and she didn't want to be singled out to be showcased. Though, she didn't think her art was that good. Well, she liked it, but others might not feel the same way. Though her true passion was music. Her fingers would strum a few cords on the harp she held in her grasp. The strummed soft notes would echo in the air as the wind would carry them off. It was her heaven. Though, this only lasted while she played before she opened her eyes to come back into reality....
Loneliness...
The girl longed for companionship, but she knew she couldn't afford to have it. Plus, she was too shy to even approach someone. Besides, being shy she was....scared. Scared that someone would betray her and scared that someone would take her heart run it through with a knife.
Just like he once did.....
