Well, today I'm going fishing at least once, maybe twice! Now I'm waking up and getting ready to go, but I should have this fishing trip covered later today. After I've fished that is...
The first trip is now over, and the fish have been cleaned and put in the fridge! Today I caught my first Black Crappie on a 1/4 ounce mepps spinner, as well as a decent sized redbreast sunfish, plus some smaller sunfish that were too small, my dad caught a small bass and not much other than weeds, but we both had fun. The lures we used were Gulp plastic worms, 1/4 ounce mepps spinners, and 1 1/2 inch RNR Rattlin' Rapalas (Baby Bass), as well as the Original Rapala (rainbow trout) 1 1/2 inch... We also saw 3 raccoons on the bank in the early morning, as well as a small rabbit in someones yard, plus a racerunner, five-lined skink, and female green anole! Not to mention two turtles, one was 18" by 20", the other about 5"...
