One week later....

Max stood on the cirb waiting for the light to change so he could walk across the street. It was dark for the time of day it was. He crossed the street when he heard his named being called, he turned around to see a girl by the name of Jessica walking up to him. "Hey, Max, how are you?" she asked. Jessica was a four foot nine girl, with brown hair, hazel eyes, and soft voice of about . "Hey?" Max said in a confused tone, not sure he should continue to walk or wait for her, but he decided upon the later one. "I'm fine" Max said as Jessica came up to him, now on the other side of the street, "well thats good, I heard what happened and wanted to be sure you weren't about to kill yourself" Jessica said in her usual soft tone. Max smiled and said "thats the last thing I'd do, I have too much to live for". Jessica smiled and said "well thats good, unlike you I don't have much to live for", Max looked shocked and said "hows that? not to be blunt but your a smart beautiful girl, you could do so amny things in life." Jessica blushed and turned away, "your right, I'm being stupid" she said ashamed of herself. Max patted her on the shoulder and said "well I'll see you around" and started to walk home again. "I hope you will" Jessica said to herself walking across the street slowly.

Once home, Max went up to his room and did his homework, surfed the net alittle, then went to sleep.

The next Morning went the same as usual, Max ate breakfeast by himself for his parents were both at work, though Max hadn't the faintest clue what they did for a living. After he finished his breakfeast of cereal and a glass of water he cleaned the bowl and put it away and did the same for the glass. Max grabbed his school stuff and walked out the door slowly headed towards school.
