Minor note striker speaks, sarah speaks, Koji speaks, Jewel speaks
Monster World Chapter 3 "meeting Koji."
As striker and sarah walked together through the field, sarah wondered what striker's sensei koji looked like or if he's a good person. Hmmmm. I wonder what his master is like, could he be able to get me back home ohh. I hope he's a nice person at least. She thought as she looked at her locket. It was a lovely heart shapped locket that glimmered in the sunlight, then she remembered the day she got it.
It was her 10th birthday and she was having lots of fun and just when she thought it couldn't get any better, her big sister "Jewel" gave her a gift she'd never forget. Out of the neatly wrapped present she found the loveliest golden necklace she had ever seen. The locket was shapped like a heart and made of a golden material. Well, do you like it little sis? Jewel said with a smile. Like it sis? I love it. The young sarah said as she gave her sister the best hug she ever had.
Thank you Jewel, i'll always keep it with me. She told her very happily. You're welcome sarah. Jewel said, very glad that her sister loves her gift. Their mom and dad(John and Heather) could only be happy for both of them. You know sarah I heard that this locket is magical. Jewel said with a look of truth in her eyes. Magic? really? Sarah said, surprised at what jewel just said. Uh-huh, if you make a wish on the locket, it'll come true. She told sarah and winked at her as a sign of trust. Cool but I don't know what to wish for. Sarah said with her thoughts being wishless. Oh don't worry sarah, you'll know what to wish for when the time comes.Sarah came out of the flashback and back into reality.
Sarah had almost believed for a moment that the locket itself had brought her there but there was no time to wonder about it since striker was taking her to see koji. Hey striker, is this Mr.Koji a nice person? She asked him. Yeah, he's the kindest, nicest and strongest barrier i've ever known. He told her. What's a barrier? She curiously asked striker. Oh you'll see. He told the curious girl, abit surprised that she never heard of koji's species.
They walked a little longer until they had finally reached the templed home of striker's master. Alright, were here sarah. Wow, this is where you live? she asked in amazement. Yes, this it it. Let's go meet sensei Koji. Striker quoted as they entered the Dojo/Temple.
They came into the main temple room, a mysterious looking man sat in the center of the room, meditaiting. Master Koji, im back. Striker said to his master. Striker, my son you have returned from your field training already? The wise old barrier said as he opened his eyes and saw not only his aprentice, but the young girl with the kind, sweet and gentle face we all know as sarah.
Surprised at the sight of this young girl, Koji asked. Well who is this lovely young lady? Is she your girlfriend? What uhh.. no. I just met her. He managed to say while trying to cover up the fact that he was blushing and embarrassed at what his master just said, sarah was blushing as well. This is sarah, she needs our help. Koji saw their blushing but decided to see what the girl's problem was. So young sarah, what's your problem? Sarah got a good look at koji, he was about five and a half feet tall and he looked as if the skin on his face and back was armor platted like an armadillo. His hands were short clawed and he looked really old.
She finally shook off her embarrassment and asked him. I need your help Mr.Koji, i'm lost and I need to go home. Ok little one, i'll help you. Now, where do you live? He asked her. I live in a little place called winchester in kentucky. She told him but he didn't know where it was. Winchester? It that a nation? No, it's a little town in America. She said. Young lady, your not in America your in the Barrier Nation. He said. The Barrier Nation? I've never heard of it. Sarah said curiously. Come to think of it, you said you were from another world. Striker said, remembering their talk in the field. Another world? Koji said, surprised that sarah was from another world. Well my dear you don't look like any critter i've ever seen before, we must send you back to your world. Oh yes Mr.Koji, do you know how to send me back to earth?She asked with renewed hope in her heart and eyes. Yes but well have to gather some special items first. The wise old barrier told sarah. Alright but what are these special items? These items are pieces to a legendary weapon known as the spirit sword, if the sword's pieces are brought together they'll become the spirit sword and send you home. He said. Really? striker and sarah asked at the same time.
Yes my young friends but it'll be a pearless journey. You sarah must learn how to defend yourself first. Koji said with a serious but calm tone. (gulps) ok master Koji if it means me being able to go home, i'll do it. She said, abit worried how dangerous this world can really be. Then it's settled, you sarah shall be my fourth apprentice and we will begin training tomarrow. Koji said with great honesty. Alright wait what do you mean by fourth apprentice? She asked wondering who the other 2 are. I have 2 other students besides you and striker. Ziran and Boa, they should be around here somewhere. Koji said. I'll introduce you to them. Striker said. Wait. sarah interupted him and went up to Koji. Here master take good care of these for me. She said giving him the bouquet she picked earlier. Alright young sarah, now you better not keep striker waiting, he's very impatient. He said. Okay. She said, and with that sarah ran over to striker . Let's find Ziran and Boa, where ever they are. Striker said. Striker then held on to sarah's right hand as they ran off to find striker's friends.
