“Sir, would yew say that yewr an interesting being?” She inquires, slowly sipping the contents of the goblet. She slowly gets disgruntled, exhaustion and the emptiness of the goblet wearing her down, though none of it shows. How boring, I thought he would be more fun and it seems that the owner has moved on. She stifles a yawn, which goes undetected. “It depends on how you see it. I may be your average vampire, but as well as the most interesting one. All is left on how you see me, me being Noctisette that is.” Was the reply she received with a sly smirk, she takes note of how his eyes linger almost lovingly on the owners figure, a lovers look.
“Noctisette it is then, but how do yew see yewrself?” She innocently asks, after deciding it was best not to flirt with this man.
“I see myself...as Interesting, yes interesting. You see because there is only one of me in this world, and because there is only one there is only one that can be classified as interesting!” he chuckles, amused by his own wit, as she tunes him out.. Another self absorbed man, wishing to play the mystery card. I must be getting some rest soon, the sun is to be up, I am feeling full and the temptation to rip this man’s boring, self obsessed head off is becoming too strong. “That is a rather profound way of viewing it, Noctisette! Very different. Thank yew for the company, short as it was but I must retire. The war, the weather and the hunt have me much worn out, rest is sounding delightful! I do hope to see yew soon. Excuse me ma’am, how much do I owe yew for the drinks?” She asks the owner as she scurries past.
“My dear, you don’t owe anything, the drink is free and the blood is fresh! May Lilith hold you to her ample bosom, and please, call me Polgara or Pol!” was the hurried response, as she moved around serving.
“Oh, most unusual. Well I shall return to yewr merry establishment on the morrow, good lady Pol. Merry meet merry part, merry meet again!” She extracts her curvy form from her chair, politely bobbing to her new found friends Pol and Noctisette, and makes her way to the door, her heels tapping out a staccato beat on the wooden surface. At the door she pauses, before returning to the table, and picking up the bottle of blood given to her, she tips it in a ‘cheers’ to Pol, before sliding out the door. Facing the elements, she makes her way to a rippling lake, of large proportions, and wanders along the trees, searching for a well concealed place to rest, before the suns dangerous rays can peak over the mountains nearby. She stumbles, landing flat on her face, as she looks up squinting in the harsh wind she spies the perfect place. A small cave, well concealed under a large oak trees well grown root system that was out of the weather, at low risk of allowing sunlight in and would allow her to make herself comfortable, some weeds could be placed in the corner for a bed, the rocks could be used as seating places, there was no scent of it being used by any beast or being and her magic would take care of the rest.
She crawls through the narrow entrance, clutching the bottle of blood and heads to the back corner, noting how damp and chilly her new abode was. She moves a large, glittering stone out of the way before curling up in a delicate ball on the stony floor, too tired to go in search of weeds to make a bed. Tomorrow, I make a bed before I go to the inn, I need somewhere to sleep until I find Elinor’s manor. This new domicile needs to be decorated, protection engraved symbols on the wall, a taste of style ...this could be f..fun!She drifts into a deep, dreamless sleep.
