Well, this story is inspired by the random thought of the first two sentences I randomly wrote to get a story started (which is now the story below). Enjoy~
Part One of Two: Paranormal
I can take anything you throw at me, he said. Well, just because he can, doesn't mean he could do it well. I'm talking about Edward Elric, and the day he had to stay one night at the Fumikaze Mansion. (though later on it looks like it focuses more on Alphonse, it really doesn't, you'll see)
The Elric brothers looked up at the huge mansion. It looked old and kind of broken down. "Is this the colonel's idea of a joke?" the older of the two, Edward, asked. "It could be," the younger of the two, Alphonse, said. Edward sighed. "Well, if we have to stay one night, so be it. We're only supposed to look around a bit and check for any chimeras that were supposedly left behind anyway," he said, opening the door and dragging his trunk. Alphonse nodded, carrying his own trunk, and followed him inside.
"I don't see any signs of life in this place, let alone chimeras," Edward stated. "Is the chimera story something he just made up to make me stay in a house that looks like it's about to fall down on my head any second now?" he grumbled, sitting down on a wooden stool. Alphonse sighed. "Brother, we could've been given a much worse assignment. You know that. Besides, we hardly get assignments anyway. It's kind of like an equivalent exchange, no?" "Well then I don't like equivalent exchanges. They haven't exactly helped us in the past either," Edward said. "Well whether you like it or not, we have to stay for the night, so let's make the best of it," Alphonse said, not wanting to argue with his brother. He walked up the stairs and took a look around. "Help...me..." a distant-sounding voice said. Alphonse's head shot around. "Who said that?" he called out. "Hello?" he called out as he walked further down the hallway. he heard the voice again, "Help...me..." "I would if you would just tell me where you are!" he shouted out. He started to walk faster down the hallway, but he didn't see anyone in any of the rooms, and he didn't hear the voice again. "That was weird..." He walked back down the hallway and down the stairs. "Brother! Brother! I heard a weird voice upstairs! They were asking for help!" he said frantically. Edward looked up at him. "You heard voices? Are you sure you aren't just going dillusional from this weird atmosphere? Because I might in a little while." "I-I'm sure, I swear!" Alphonse argued. Edward stood up. "You sound like you've heard a ghost, really," he said, starting to walk up the stairs. "Hey, you would've had the same reaction if you heard it!" Alphonse said, following him. "And who knows, it might have very well been a ghost, Ed!" "Right, there are ghosts, Al," Edward said sarcastically. "Why not? We've seen weirder!" Alphonse said back. "Whatever, let's see. Maybe I could hear this 'ghost' of yours too," Edward said, the sarcasm fading away from his voice.
