Appearance: Generally, Yong-Li has an odd appearance, no matter what form he is in. In his humanoid form, he has bright green eyes, small elven ears, horns that resemble fox ears, and dark aquamarine hair that is almost navy. However, if he is in his beast form, he is a firey q'ilin with the tails, feet, and ears of a fox. He also has a red-orange birthmark on his forehead, similar to Chonglin's jewel and Seul-Yon's lotus mark.
Personality: Yong-Li shares his parents' calm and easy-going personality, but he also shares their savage side. With a mother who is a carnivorous demon and a father who is tormented by a dark alter ego, he can be quite the mischievous child. However, he has a bad case of necrophobia and wouldn't kill anyone due to this fear.
Any Remaining Background Info: No one knows when Yong-Li was born. Some assume it was during the reign of Queen Sondok (around mid 500s A.D.) when the Ssu Ling were on assignment to the Korean Kingdom of Silla to assist with diplomatic relations between Silla and Tang China. However, Yong-Li only got to see his father once before he had to return to China. (Unlike Xiaohong, Yong-Li would have been unwelcome in Yaochi because he is half demon.) He was raised by his mother in a kumiho village and remains there to this day, even though Silla is no longer in existence. He hopes to someday go to China and fnd the famed Kunlun Mountain to find his father.
(Note that there was no hostility in the relationship in deciding to split, at least, between his parents...)
