What brought you here? I grew up in the Caribbean, the Bahamas to be exact, and I had the childhood most children dream of, care-free school days then we got to spend the rest of the day at the beach. I always felt in my element when I was swimming in the ocean or walking along the beach, but that was all changed drastically when I was 13.
It was during summer vacation and I was visiting a cove on the other side of the island with my parents. I was usually pretty careful around the rocks and in the water, so my safety wasn’t really the first thing on our minds at the time. As I usually did, I went for a swim, but while I was out on my little excursion, I came into contact with a shark. Now, this was nothing new for me, as I ran into sharks all the time, and more times than not they did nothing or swam away. But this time, this one started to follow me. I wasn’t scared or anything, I just was a little weirded out how this shark just followed me around like a lost puppy. I suppose they don’t call them “sea dogs” for nothing.
Well, I swam into a cave, not that it would help me escape for anything, and when I got in there, the shark was gone. I instantly assumed that it had stopped following me, but I was mistaken when I would feel funny every time I would go swimming after that. A few weeks later I found out that when I would jump in the water, I would transform into a shark. Weird, right? As the months passed by, I started to dabble in magic and I got a solid footing in wizardry as I entered my high school years, but I still wasn’t the greatest and I sometimes had some problems at school because of it.
My parents contacted Aether Academy, but the recruiter told me that my problems weren’t “big” enough for their school. After that rejection, I heard about Bedlam Hall and contacted them myself. They immediately took to the situation and I was enrolled my sophomore year of high school. I’ve been here ever since.
What do you like? As you probably could have guessed, I love being in and around the water. I also take a liking for meat when it comes to food, soccer, and practicing my magic skills, because hey, practice makes perfect.
Not so much... I don’t like big storms, especially hurricane type storms, they freak me the hell out. I also am picky about magic. I personally find any other form of magic besides wizardry kind of a hoax and I don’t buy it. So, what if you go into a trance and communicate with the spirit world? You’re probably just acting like you’re doing so just to get attention. I’ll bet you aren’t even doing anything. Sorry, rant over. It just annoys me.
Powers: Like I mentioned, I can turn into a shark, but I can only do so when I’m in the water. I also can use a variety of spells and curses, but the majority of them use some sort of water magic. I have limited earth magic abilities as well, and I can cause minor rock slides, earthquakes, and all that, but I don’t have much else I can do in that department.
Who is your rival? Esau Pelumwuy. Cats + water usually always equals disaster.
