Chapter 3: The Epic Duel
The Witches made it back to the Wizard's castle. Selluriah readied herself. "You ready, girls?" she said with a confident smirk to the others. Gayelette unsheathed her sword. Kizena nocked an arrow to the ivory bow in her hand and pulled it tight across the string. Glinda flicked her wrists and extended the claws that hid in her gloves. "Alright!" Selluriah cheered. "Let's go!"
Suddenly the four were stopped by the sound of a loading gun. Emeraldia stepped between them and the door. "Afraid I can't let you do that, ladies." she said, pointing her gun at them menacingly. Selluriah was taken aback by this. "Emeraldia?" she gasped. "What're you doing?" "Don't play dumb with me." Emeraldia sneered. "I intercepted your plans to take on the Wizard. I can't allow it." "Is that so?" Selluriah said with a smirk.
Emeraldia only nodded and cocked a spare hand gun, raising it to the same level as the first. "Have it your way then." Selluriah sighed. She made a gesture to the other three witches and the witch quartet jumped into action. Selluriah thrust her hand towards Emeraldia and shouted, "FIREBALL!" A fireball was flung at Emeraldia, who dodged it with ease. Gayelette's blade scraped the granite floor. She whispered, "Fire Blade." and her sword was set ablaze.
Emeraldia used ninja like grace and skill to avoid the up close attack from Gayelette but was all at once bombarded by slashes from Glinda's claws. Kizena nocked an arrow against the bow and pulled it back gracefully, whispering, "Ice Arrow." The arrow soared into the sky and split into a million shards of ice, raining down onto Emeraldia. Emeraldia only had to extend her hand upwards and a force field surrounded her, protecting her from being impaled by the shards of ice. "You girls may have to do better than that to get by me." Emeraldia sneered.
"Really?" Selluriah sneered as she appeared behind Emeraldia. Before Emeraldia could whip her arm around to aim the gun at Selluriah, Selluriah grabbed her shoulder and shouted, "THUNDERBOLT!!" Emeraldia fell to the ground, writhing in pain from the major shock she just gotten. The other witches gathered around the unconcious Emeraldia. Giving Emeraldia a poke in the shoulder, Glinda sighed, "Nice job, Selluriah." "Thanks." Selluriah smirked. "Now let's take the Wizard." Gaylette said, walking up to the main door.
Glinda reared back and gave the door a forceful kick, catpuring the Wizard's attention. "We're back~!!!!" Glinda smirked. "Did you get it?" The Wizard asked, standing from his chair. "Can't guarentee you'll ever get it back." Kizena said with a bow. "But, you and us have some unfinished buisness to settle." Selluriah sneered, folding her arms across her chest. "And what would that be, Witch?" The Wizard smirked, looking rather evil. "We wanna see if you're really as strong as you say you are." Gayelette said. "AND WITHOUT THYRSOS, YOU'RE POWERLESS!!!!" Glinda shouted with a toothy smile, her animalistic eyes flashing with confidence.
The Wizard merely sighed. "And I put so much work into that staff too." he whined. He flashed a smirk at the witches. "But that doesn't mean that I won't go easy on you." Suddenly, electricity surrounded one hand and fire the other. "Prepare yourselves, ladies." He said, lifting his hands into a battle pose. "For the Battle to end all Battles!"
