Awhile on a hunting trip Kate’s husband was killed by a hungry bear. She returned to the pack ran right into the arms of Samuel. Marcus had followed Kate as usual on that hunting trip. He had seem the bear kill the human male. He had seen her return to the pack and to run to Samuel’s arms. He did not know that they loved each other. He returned to the coven to ask for their help in attacking the werewolves. He said that they could use the human slaves for themselves as the werewolves did or they could be kept as food which ever the coven leader decided. He had another reason for attacking the werewolves. He could not stand to see the woman who he though as his true mate in the arms of the werewolf named Samuel.
