You know how people say "The truth hurts?" Well, I prefer the painful truth rather than any lie at all and I have a good reason.
Okay this is just an example: You and Bob are friends ad you and Bob's moms are friends too. Then one day Bob drags you into doing something you both know you aren't supposed to do but you don't have a choice to do it or not. Then Bob's mom finds out that Bob did something wrong and decides to ground him for a while but he says that you forced him to do it and since his mom and your mom are friends, Bob's mom tells your mom what you "supposedly" did. But the truth is you had no say in doing what you did and Bob lied and got you in trouble just so he wouldn't get in trouble. [Okay wtf my friends just came over to my house without me even knowing at 9:05pm and one of them was all saying "Wow (my name) you're growing up now!" like wtf? I'm not THAT much younger than you and it wasn't even that long since I last saw you which is like a month ago. Okay anyway...] So now Bob has pretty much no punishment and you get grounded for a while. But if Bob told the truth you wouldn't have gotten in trouble.
So thanks to Bob who is an inconsiderate lying jerk you are in trouble for something you didn't do.
Well that actually happened to me but my friend's name isn't Bob and I'm notgoing to tell you what "I" [my frikken friend] did.

Oh and the truth is better that a lie even though it hurt because...
[here's another example] Let's just say his name is Bob again and Bob is short. So one day someone goes up to Bob and says "You're so short." well that might have hurt Bob's feelings or something but at least it is true so it doesn't really matter because if you have or are something and you're living that means you can live with it and at least you know the truth. But if someone went to Bob and say [non-sacrastically] "You're so tall Bob." Then Bob will think he is tall and live life believing a lie. So there.
I hope you see my point now.
