My thoughts: This quote doesn't just apply to birds, it applies to people too. People may look good on the outside, they may have good clothes, good hair, good teeth good everything. But that doesn't make them a good person, it just makes them look good. Sometimes the best things come in the ugliest packages. So learn to look beyond appearances, because they can be decieving. Instead look at the heart of the matter.
I know that's always easier said then done. It's hard to see past the appearances people put up. But you have to try, you have to try and see what people are really like. So look past the good things, the fine things and look at people's hearts.
