like a real lackey, eh?
who hastens to you,
jumps for your every need to be fulfilled right away...
who fight everyone that dares to tarnish your reputation...
because they have to protect your pride, to have one.
if you're soiled, they're soiled.
who makes you seem rather aloof,
or unreachable.
like a starry, high sky.
timid, watching your every step.
afraid you might miss something.
have someone put a latch on the way to their dreams?
are they too gullible, or too scared to regain the key to that latch?
it's like some kind of mortgage, that key.
keeps the composure,
keeps at least what's left.
I never know if I should respect them,
pity them,
despise them
or reach out for them...
all seems right,
all seems wrong,
all seems impossible,
as well as possible....
