“Thunderstorm”

Outside on a thunderous day,
You hear the sound of thunder,
Ka-boom, ka-boom, the thunder rages,
The thunder booms outside today.

You hear the sounds of the winds,
It howls as it races around outside,
The wind whirs and moans outside your window,
But over the wind, the thunder still rescinds.

Now you hear the hard rain,
As it goes klipitiklop, klipitiklop against the window,
And splooshes and sploshes in the puddles,
You wonder if this storm will cause bane.

Your eyes still watch and your ears still hear,
All of the commotion that lies beyond your window,
You listen and hear the growl of the wind,
The crashing of thunder, and splishing of water,
But still, the storm is what you fear.
