Both warriors jumped forward, and a simple swordfight began, a warm-up to test the other's skill and abilities. Silence jabbed, parried, swung left, vertical slice with his right, dodged a vertical slice, swung right, jabbed left, only to find all his blows defended and he defended the others blows just as well. Sparks flew from where the blades met, creating a fireworks display.
The Kusugari circled to Silence's right and used a horizontal slice while moving, only to find it parried, then started the tricky moves. He faked left, jumped right and fired his revolver, only to see the bullet deflected by a sword, a feat only he himself has done before. He began to respect this warriors skills in combat. He jumped into the air, then brought his sword down while falling, and Silence made the mistake of trying to block it, only to have his guard broken and he started to fall back. Silence did a sweeping kick at the Kusugari's feet, using his downed state to give him an advantage. The Swordslinger jumped again, then brought his fist down into the ground when his sword suddenly glowed. The impact sent shockwaves, and Silence was left stunned on the ground. He looked up to see the Kusugari coming down on him, his katana's blade about to bury into him. He rolled to the right suddenly, and flipped into the air, while upside-down he fired his longswords, one towards the Kusugari who dodged, the other going to where the Swordslinger was going to dodge. The Kusugari still moved the other way between them, and Silence tried to flip again and bring the ground beneath the Swordlinger on top of the Kusugari. The Kusugari flipped off the rock, and got into a ready stance, his sword glowing. Silence ripped his longswords out of the boulder in midair and flung them beside the Kusugari and retracted them and was pulled feet-first. The Swordslinger caught on and just before impact used his sword like a shield, Silence landing on its flat edge and getting flung off, and the Kusugari suddenly ripped his katana up and sent Silence flying, fired a few bullets before jumping up to attack Silence. Silence was impressed with the skill this Kusugari had. It matched his own, all the moves practical. He was able to parry the first few attacks, but was sent crashing to earth on a strong slice.Gravity can be a real b- Silence jumped out of the way of a finishing move and kicked the Swordslinger into the air and dodged a few bullets, then jumped up and ran up the Kusugari in midair like a wall, sending him flying. They got up, ready to continue when a spear flew between them, then several ninjas showed themselves on the buildings nearby. More and more appeared in puffs of smoke, all ready to kill the two evenly matched warriors. Silence and the Kusugai, turned their backs to each other, but remained seperate. Now a real challenge began.
