CHAPTER 4-A memorable story and a hero

His name was Kalas; it was a good 300 years ago. A time of prosperity and power, a war had been brewing, and Kalastalasalian Alonashtali’s clan had been caught in the middle of it. He was young then, and part of the most respected bloodlines before the time of the fallen, before the time of outcasts. Dating back thousands of years there had been groups of people with unique powers and extraordinary lifelines. These powers included everything from shape shifters to werebeast, night bleeders and devilfolk to angelkin. Even the most sacred of beats forms to the most common of dragon shifters lived here. Kalas’s mother was a pureblood silver dragon, who had taken human form to be with the blooded prince, a dark person of highly respected royal bloodlines. He was a powerful mix of daemon, werewolf, and night bleeder. Kalas was one of two children with such sacred bloodlines; the other child had the blood of a hawk shifter angelkin, and gold dragon pureblood.
This other child, Marasopholis Eodis was Kalas’s rival, for they both filled the roles of opposing prophecies. One was to bring chaos and destruction upon the planet, and the other brought bonding and friendship amongst the races. In the end the two would fight, and the winner would control more power than any of the gods combined. Many believed due to Kalas’s darker bloodlines that he was the harbinger of chaos and death, and many feared him and occasionally would try to kill him.
Kalas had only known war for the first fifty years of his short life, and his only friend was the son of a scientist, one who believed that there may be another similar less magical world out there, one that had no magic, but whose technology was far beyond that of the one they themselves lived in. This friend of Kalas came from a name that were known as foolish dreamers, and laughed at it seemed no matter what they came up with. The whole family on every side of the spectrum had constantly come up with ideas that were foolish; their theories were preposterous, and silly. Occasionally they would come up with a good idea, but it was few and far in between, as of late there had been none such, one of these silly ideas was the idea that humanoids could ride dragons into battle, they had other silly ideas such as using mirrors and magically imbuing them to see upon others and even speak through them and contacting those who were far off in other lands.
This one man who had befriended Kalas went by the name Everon Triaster, a human, of the age 47, he was getting old, and Kalas could see this as of late, he didn’t have as much energy as he used to. It was sad to Kalas that humans lived such short lives, but he understood that was just how it was. Many other people had wished to be Kalas’s friend, trying to take advantage of his more kind nature, believing that being on his side would bring them power beyond what they already had, but the only person he would ever call friend was Everon, as he was trustable and cared little for power or money, or even fame or fortune.

Kalas was a man who cared little for looks, and it was plainly visible, as he had messy brown hair, of course many said he looked good that way, he still did not see that as a justifiable reason. His eyes were dark brown with a tinted red color. On his back he carried a very powerful and rare sword known as the heavens buster, a weapon used by heroes of old to destroy demons, until one made the mistake of attempting to use it on the blooded prince, one mistake that was his last mistake, one that he learned very quickly. Kalas kept the sword more as a reminder that great power comes at a great price. The sword was large but still could be wielded with one hand, it had one sharp side, the other was dull, the front hand guard was wide, and wrapped around the below the bottom of the hilt, the top one was more then and stopped about mid hilt, though it was a bit further from the hilt than the front guard. The hilt and guard of the sword was dark blue, while the blade was silver with only the slightest blue glow to it.

Everon had called Kalas out on this day for a stroll in the Moirsa woods. Kalas had come wearing his blue cloak, over a brown commoners shirt, with black dyed trousers, not a common type of apparel but because he was royalty he was allowed to wear what pleased him without gawking passersby’s. Everon was standing in the middle of the road waiting for Kalas, starring at the heavens with his familiar dazed look upon his face. He wore a long white cloak, with an all white apparel and a black belt around his waist, his shirt tied together up front with strings from the bottom to the top, his trousers were baggy, and had a single string on either side that he could pull to tighten them up to enhance mobility. It was another odd design by his family, his sisters design to be exact, and even Kalas thought the family had an odd choice of apparel, of course he was not one to be speaking, as neither of them ever blended into a crowd. It was Everon’s sister who usually came up with the clothes, Emileth was her name.

“Everon, you fool, why must you call me out during the day knowing my skin is so sensitive to the light?” Kalas growled at Everon as he hastily approached him, “Bah a sunburn will do you well, it would remind you that it is not just humans who can die for the silliest of reasons Kalas, but fear not my friend, for today we are not killing you, instead only mortally wounding you, I have invited your cousin Sislestia to join us” Kalas stopped in his tracks, shocked at what he heard. No dragon on his mother’s side of the family approved of her marriage, let alone approved of the birth of Kalas, the wretched spawn of an unholy union. This cousin though, could not care less, she did not believe in love, she detested children, in fact she detested them so much that she went so far as to cast a spell that disabled her from so much as laying an egg. The only thing about Kalas that bothered Sislestia was how ugly Kalas was to her, and how his life hurt her amazing, beautiful and powerful image. She constantly called him names, and never failed to mention just how dirty his blood was compared to hers.

“you do realize, Everon, that she is from my mother’s side of the family, do you not?”, Everon smiled, “Why yes Kalas, it is pricicly that reason that she is even here, because she is a dragon. One that will not bite my head off for speaking to her.”, Kalas frowned, “You do realize how much that side of the family, especially her portion of it, hates me, right Everon?” Everon only smiled before turning around and walking off, Kalas sighed, “just making sure.” He followed behind, not happily, and hardly with his head held high as a prince normally does. His shoulders sagged, and his feet dragged, he was regretting even coming out as of now, he detested dragons, especially dragons on his mother’s side of the family. During family reunions he cannot even come within a few feet before a fight breaks out. He knew that today was only going to end badly, and probably for everyone.

It was a decent trek into the woods, very little conversation took place, mostly due to the fact that Kalas was no longer in any form of a good mood. As they stepped out into a small clearing, Kalas was shocked at the sight he beheld. Of course Sislestia was there, but upon her back was what looked like an oversized horse saddle, “It seems the one whose blood is filled with mud is shocked, not a surprise, he never had a knack for intelligence. Wipe that idiotic look off your face, you don’t need to look any uglier than you already are.” Her voice was strong, perhaps a bit overbearing, but still as beautiful as any dragoness’s voice should be. Gathering himself back he snorted, “Good to see you too Sisle,” She growled, she had always hated the shortened name Sisle, in fact it is well known that she killed a male black dragon for calling her such, but Kalas was willing to take the risk, “If you do not watch yourself, you may find that humanoids slip down the thought very easily, small one.”
“If something small can easily slip in, than I imagine it is its best interest to just as easily slip out. Fat one.”
“Oh I am sure you know this well, overcompensating with that big sword, am I correct?”
“There’s nothing to overcompensate for, if I were worried about being too small, I would merely compare myself to the size of your brain, then even a small goblin would feel good about himself.”
“You don’t need brains when you have beauty”
“Well it is too bad you don’t even have that.”
Everon finally let out a laugh, “Alright, alright, I believe we all get the picture, now before the family rivalry war breaks out that is enough, we have work to do before it gets dark!” Kalas and Sisle stopped arguing and gave Everon a look that told him how stupid he sounding, them both being beings that could see very well in the dark, unlike him.
“You know Everon were not related, her mother disowned me.” Sisle shook her head, “That is not my fault, I am not the one who was born the spawn of a daemon.”
“You two never quite do you?” Everon laughed, and as he did, Kalas noticed a few gray hairs in his short red beard, “Well than Everon, what is it you need?” Everon pointed at Sisle, “Get up there.” When he said this both Sisle’s and Kalas’s jaws dropped, they knew Everon was a bit weird, and had a tendency to be a bit crazy, but riding atop a dragon? This was shear madness, “I won’t do it!” “Good because I would not let you on me in a million years!” Everon shook his head and frowned, “you two realize I do not have a million and 1 years correct? I am getting older by the minute, whereas you two have as many life times as you can keep from getting yourselves killed. Just cooperate for this one event, that will be it, I have a few things I would like to see you do, now climb up and let me explain” looking towards Sisle he made sure to add, “And you had better let him up” Sisle only snorted at him, but did not but flinch as Kalas climbed warily into the saddle, “There you are the first dragon riding team in the history of our world! Now fly! Learn to fight as one, to work as one, and when you make it in the air be prepared, I have released six magically enhanced and grown vagla, and you both know how dangerous the bat-like vagla are, so be careful. NOW GO!” with this Sisle launched into the air, Kalas barely able to stay on as he fell backwards in the saddle. As he regained his balanced he slowly let go with one hand, prepared to blast whatever flies at him with magic, but as he got prepared a large black ball flew past him and Sisle’s head each, barely scraping her tail, causing her to let out a loud roar. As her roar died down, Kalas noticed the sound of men at war and small explosions, more or less like a popping sound rather than a boom, of course there were occasional booms, and the majority of it was the smaller popping noises. Sisle obviously having also heard it began flying down. As they got down lower Kalas could make out what was going on, there was a battle going on, it seemed to be an all out wizard war, but the land had changed, what he should have been seeing was a forest instead he saw a cliff, with large black objects that were long and round atop of it, and men in grey coats behind them, it seemed these were the cause of the louder booms, the strange wizards all seemed to be using an odd looking stick, which after each shot they had to bring them down and stuff them with odd magical components, that seemed to make them go off. Either side had its own color; one had grey colors and the other blue. But as suddenly as it appeared, it disappeared, and Kalas heard Sisle as she quietly asked, “You saw that too right?” Kalas was barely able to say yes as the valga finally attacked.

The valga were normally small creatures slightly larger than your average bat, they had leather wings, and a bats head, but they had humanoid hands with razor sharp claws, and feet like a birds with talons equally as dangerous. These ones were almost as big as a griffon.
As the first one flew through, Kalas was barely able to grab his sword and block its claws, He was about to yell at Sisle for not dodging, but then saw her at combat with two others. As he looked back he saw the same one was coming back for a second attack, but this time he was ready, chanting his magical words, he let loose a bolt of searing light, a spell he had once seen and heard a priest cast, though his was not as powerful, he knew the Valga were weak against light, and since the priest was kind enough to teach him the spell, than he might as well use it, especially since it was the only light spell in his arsenal.

Sisle quickly eradicated four of the Valga in the time it took Kalas to kill two. She would later laugh at him for his weakness, but that would not come until he was off her back for good. After those six had been destroyed she looked around, along with Kalas, to see if any others were coming. Not seeing any more they looked down, to see if the humans had reappeared. A few seconds later they relaxed, and prided themselves in silence as to how well they had fought together in the air, with only one of them flying, even though they both had the ability to fly.
It was well known Kalas had wings like his father and mother, but they were sealed away by his father, knowing only that when he was of the right mind and age, they would appear along with power making him shine above all others, but along with the right mind and age, he would first have to overcome an obstacle when he got older, one that would put him and all he knew in great peril if he did not overcome it. Of course though, he did not know what this peril would be.

“Tell me cousin, have you ever been to the cave of eliasith? It is only accessible if a person or creature can fly, I have never been there as I knew if I used magical flight along with the time it would take to travel there, I would not be able to battle the creatures that lie in wait. It is a two hour flight from here.” Sisle snorted, off course she had not been there, It was a boring cave where a great wizard protected a dying knight, ancient and useless myth. There was no point in her going there, but she flew that way anyways. The flight was two hours as Kalas had said, and there was little talk along the way, it was not tiring, but for Kalas who hardly had the patience to learn new spells, let alone spells made for travel, it would have been tiring enough to impede him in battle. Which was exactly what was waiting at the cave, as when they got there a griffon was standing at the cave screaming into it, alerting anything inside that if it dared attack it, they would do so at the cost of their own life.

Somehow it had not noticed Sisle and Kalas, and this made Sisle laugh, as she landed on top of it, making sure to crush it, and as an added effect she smashed her claws upon its head a few times, making sure it would not get back up on its own accord. Kalas quickly hoped off as she was doing so, realizing that he was very sore from being in the leather saddle. Perhaps he would ask Everon to cushion the saddle more if there was ever a next time, as that was very uncomfortable. The annoyance made him need to sit there for a while and stretch and work out all the pains and kinks in his legs. This made Sisle nearly roll over laugh, proving to her that he was hardly different from the pathetic humans.

The cave was large enough to fit a dragon. As they entered it they saw three caves, only one was big enough for Sisle, so they split up. Neither liked what they saw. Sisle found an old looted dragons den, with bones of at least three wyverns, false dragons, at least in her eyes. Wyverns were two legged cousins of dragons, they had no arms, and usually lived in mountains and jungles, and dragons were at a constant displeasure with such lowly creatures. Sisle also noted two eggs, obviously dormant wyvern eggs, and she quickly made with the smashing and stomping of these lighter shelled eggs. Though should never admit that it hurt her feet to step on the eggs.

Kalas followed his path for what seemed like hours, seeing a few correct sized Valga, on the way, but it only took a simple swipe of his sword to deal with these. Finally he made it to the chamber ahead, and found something worse than Valga, a ruby golem. Around it were piles of gold, skeletons, armors, and weapons, it seemed many had attempted to enter, but none made it out. Kalas found it hard to imagine someone took the time to store up enough rubies to create such a golem, but knew that these were some of the stronger kinds, those made of minerals like rubies. It took him few seconds to notice, the whole cave had ruby deposits everywhere. No wonder such a creature could stand before him, and more than likely it was not the only one in the cave.

As sisle left she notice three large piles of rubies blocking her way. Ruby golems. Such rare things, she would make short work of these, and then take the remaining rubies for herself. Perhaps load them all upon her back, and leave Kalas here. The golems began walking towards here, the mindless creatures made only to guard this place, stood only half as tall as Sisle, but three times as tall as an average human. Speaking in the Dragon language Sisle began casting a spell of destruction, one that should rip apart the golems easily, and being a dragon, the spell would be more powerful for her than any other creature. But as the blast hit them it simply vanished. Figures, she thought, it takes a wizard to create such a thing, and they aren’t going to just let their creations die from such a simple spell. Deciding to test the power of the dispelling magic, she cast her most powerful spell, causing the caves to shake horribly. Of course it had no affect on the golems, and it also proved to Sisle that the cave was magically protected too, as it should have collapsed from the blast. Quickly as the golems approached her until she made it back into the room, it saddened her that she would not be leaving with the rubies, but such a fight was beneath her, she would leave them for some other lowly being to destroy. Bracing herself against the back wall she launched off, expecting to smash through the constructs. Sisle was not known for a tactical mind, but was well known for her escaping abilities, unlike Kalas.

Blood was dripping from many parts of Kalas, and his right arm was broken. The construct had both physical and magical protections, and he had taken more than a few beatings from the creature, but he was not done yet, he would defeat it and search the next tunnel, maybe even go save Sisle if he felt like it afterwords. He had one option, and it was dangerous, as he knew that the spell on the creature was a permanent dispel, and he also knew that when to dispels of equal power hit, a horrendous explosion would occur, he knew this as he had done it multiple times, getting blown hundreds of feet away and nearly dying each time, but he had to do it one more time. He did wonder, as he cast the spell, why did the creator put such a low powered dispel on this golem? He sensed golems around Sisle, and noticed they were more powerful. Perhaps the wizard was short of power and was trying to mass produce golems at the time this one was made. It mattered not though. The only thing that mattered is if his ride out of the cave would be able to handle such powerful constructs.

Sisle’s head hurt, she bounced off of the first one she hit. She knew it was a bad idea to launch head first, instead of using her body, but learned quickly the seconds time that it was a physical deflection on the golems, not the amazing sturdiness of the golems themselves that she was bouncing off of. As the golems surrounded her, she heard a large boom, that shook the cave, accompanied by a flash of blue light. The golems turned around and began walking away, and then she saw it, why these constructs were able to take on her, a dragon. They had been imbued with multiple soul stones, powerful objects fuelled with the souls of creatures caught with a soul absorbing spell, a common practice of necromancers. This would be easy, you can’t magically protect a soul stone without dampening its power or completely blocking the power. With one swipe of her claws she took out all the soul stones on the golems backs, causing them to crumple to the ground. Quickly she began running to see what the flash was earlier, what had caused them to not kill her when they had the chance, to expose their weakness so easily. When she got to the center of the cave, she saw Kalas there with a heart in his left hand, and a large grin on his face, “It seems our sorcerer friend here was so afraid to die, that with his last breath he imbued his own life into one of his golems, disrupting the soul stones protecting it. I had wondered why it seemed weaker than the golems surrounding you.” Kalas was dripping blood all over him, it was a rather scary sight to see the daemon boy like this even for Sisle, “Speaking of the golems, I take it the link spell allowing us to know of each other’s doings was yours? Casting secret spells like that is a rather big waste of talent. Why did you not conserve your power for combat rather than for hiding it from my sight” Kalas stood up straight and brushed himself off, “That’s okay I used some of the left over adrenaline from the fight with the giant Valga to cast it, instead of my own innate power” Sisle shook her head, he was a strange person, just as always though, “but about that mage, you said sorcerer, I take it you got a good examination of his heart soul? I assumed he was a wizard due to his powerful defensive spells.” Kalas put the heart down deciding it would be best to get the heart and sell it later, after he explored the middle tunnel, “yes, like my nemisis I am a spell caster more so than a warrior, though unlike my nemisis who studies magic books all day, when I am not practicing with my non magical combat abilities and not training my fighting skills, I am studying the lore of our world. Therefore It was easy to determine the magical properties behind his heart, and even determine what kind of person made this. Besides, wizards tend to bundle up their spells, and use only one soul stone, the creator of these golems obviously did not study making new spells from old ones, and instead cast multiple spells needing more and more soul stones, and based on they style I would say he was more so a fighter than a sorcerer as he prepared better defenses against magical things over non-magical, as most fighters tend to believe brute strength will win over everything in the end.” It was true that Kalas was a well studied mage, and he proved that every chance he got, even though he behaved like your average sword fighter. Sisle was forced to respect Kalas’s knowledge, and made no remarks about him, though she did notice that he was looking down the tunnel in the middle of the two they had taken. It was just like him to be curious, and care less for his wounds than for his ego. She knew he had to know what was so important that golems like this were made and protected, instead of sold for the huge amounts of gold they were worth. Sisle thought that, had the golems not been infused with soul stones, causing their destruction, she would have a heaping pile of platinum coins to lay on every night, or even fusing the ruby into her scales, like her great grandmother had done twenty years ago, before she ate her husband and was cast out of the family. Sisle watched closely as Kalas walked down the tunnel before turning to the griffon she had smashed earlier for some tasty fried griffon steaks.

The passage was long and annoying, and had many traps, portals that kept him teleporting endlessly, causing him to be nauseous before casting dispel magics. After the third offshoot from the tunnel he quit going through the false doors, and maintained a strait walk. It was no wonder there were no creatures inside the cave, between the portals that teleported a being that entered into other portals that teleported the being back into the other portal, and the ruby golems with amazing spell defenses there were very few who could survive such a venture.
After walking for what seemed like an eternity, which could not have been more than two hours, or less than one, he came to a chamber about 30 feet wide, and 20 feet long, and no more than one story up. The room was bare, and on the other side the passage continued, Kalas could tell this was where most of the ruby golem forging took place, as the walls showed signs of mining, though there was no equipment or anything to be found, not even something for golem forging, or left over material. Perhaps the sorcerer had cleared it out long ago, to keep any intruders who got past the guards from getting any materials. After walking a few feet further he ran into an invisible wall, knocking him flat on his rear end. As he stood up he felt to his left another wall, and following the wall in front of him he found a hole that he nearly fell through to his right. A maze, great just what I wanted to deal with. Kalas though to himself. As he guided himself along he kept a mental image of where the walls where, and eventually found that there were three dead ends and no way across. A sudden idea popped into his head, not one anyone would normally think of, what if one of the walls had an up way? Going back to each of the dead ends, he tested by using his remaining magic to cast a fly spell, and flew up, following the three sides of each wall, until he hit the ceiling, on the far left one, that ended nearest the entrance he found himself to be correct, and he used this tactic to weave around the air vent shaped tunnel until he made it to the other side. He had to commend the sorcerer, usually when a caster made something like this it was simple, and when you finally found the correct passage you felt stupid for it being there the whole time. Turning back towards the passage he was going to walk through he began to worry, he had no more magic left, if he tried anything else he would surely kill himself. As he neared the end of the tunnel he noticed a bright light on the other end. Upon entering the tiny chamber he saw two things, a weapon floating above a grave, radiating its own light. Kalas’s jaw dropped, this was one of the two most powerful weapons in legend, and it was so easy to get to, but then, thought Kalas, for your average person, that would have been impossible. The Heavens Buster, one of the most powerful blades in the universe, this one and the World Endure stood above all other weapons. The hilt was shaped like a cross, the above the main guard started a ring that ended near the base, where a point like the end of a flag protruded, the blade itself blended from the ring into a large and long blunt ended looking blade, though it was very much sharp, sharp enough to have ended any dragons days alive easily enough. The hilt and circle guard was red, with a green crystal in the middle of the cross piece. The World Endure is said to look exactly like it, only blue with a purple crystal in the cross piece.

Kalas opened his eyes, holding the very sword in front of him, and that was 300 years ago today. That was before the fall from grace. He remembered the fall just as easily, and when he learned his nemesis had the World Endure, and the battle that took place between the two. Sticking his sword into the dark spire with his left hand he reached to the spot he had been stabbed with the World Endure, right below the right side of his rib. He still had that mark from that loss he suffered, A terrible one that nearly killed him. Turning his thoughts from the battle he looked across the wasteland, and the dark spires with the strange red runes carved into every corner. It was true that humans were truly the most adaptable species. It was probably because of this adaptability that his race lacked that he was the last of his kind…or at least the last of his kind not warped and destroyed from the war. Kalas looked down at the bandit humans settlement, part of the same outcasts that destroyed his race, another band of outcasts. Turning his thoughts yet again he thought it ironic that one of the gods he intended to destroy was going to appear at this very settlement, two targets at once, he thought. Though this would not be the first time he had fought and killed a god, he hoped it would not be his last, as all gods had different powers, and not all were of the same strength. Spreading the false black wings on his back he prepared to fly down and land in the middle of the camp, causing the warriors to nearly die of fear, as he had become known by these people as the angle of death, and many of them had attributed the valley of death to be his doing, though it was not, he did not mind the blame, it was fun. He still had not figured out how to acquire his real wings, but this spell he learned from the last camp he destroyed would do nicely. It was not permanent, but it lasted a few hours. It was not flight of a dragon, but it fit nicely.

Jumping from the point of his spire Kalas ran down, feeling the air beat against his wings. It was a relaxing feeling. When he got to the middle of the spire he launched off and landed on top of a tent in the middle of the camp. It was the lead humans camp. As he stood up from his kneeling position, he looked around to see the humans pale faces of fear. The only problem he saw was there was no fear; they were looking through him, as he turned around he was barely able to raise the sword to block the gods assault. Finally, thought Kalas, the sweetest revenge, before killing this god he would wipe out the people of the camp before his eyes.

The gods name was Palinus, he was known as the overseer. It was he himself that sunk the last ship leaving Kalas’s homeland, the last ship to leave port, with Kalas’s dying father, and a pregnant woman on board, one of the last marked families alive. This mother was the last hope for Kalas’s people, and Palinus sank that hope. Kalas had watched helplessly from the shores of the sinking island as a blast of golden light tore the ship next to it asunder, barely able to see throught the torrent of rain, this blast sent a wave so powerful that it destroyed the ship, and Palinus made sure that every survivor died. He had noted two babied that Palinus had missed, but they surely would die, and The nearly dead Kalas could do nothing but watch. The last thing he had seen was Palinus brutally killing his father, then he blacked out.

Kalas whirled around before landing, killing six soldiers before they could blink. Kalas than began flying through the camp, ripping everyone and everything to shreads, he made sure to look back at Palinus, to see if those golden glowing eyes hidden behind the silver armor he wore showed any anger. Palinus was blasting magic out of his holy spear as he flew behind Kalas, but it was to no avail, for every blast that came his way, Kalas dodged and laughed and shot his own magic recklessly and randomly. Palinus noticed it was only when he used magic that Kalas used magic, and so he stopped, this only made Kalas laugh harder, as he realized the god was helpless, and could not defend his people. Finally Kalas decided enough was enough and he flew into the air, and fell to the ground, using his most powerful magic, destroying the entire camp and the spire next to it in a burst of flame. When he stood up, he saw Palinus laying on the ground, attempting to stand, it seemed his left leg and right arm had been broken, as he walked over and raised his sword over Palinus’s head he spoke the finally words Palinus would ever hear, “Now you know how I felt as I helplessly watched you destroy my family, my retreating comrades so many years ago. You may not even care to remember it, but It burns deeply into my soul and my memories. I will never forget, but you? You will forget for good. And with that he brought his sword down.

Just to let anyone who reads know, I have decided to expand upon the war part, because its a big spoiler for the future.
basically I am goin to put in more about the ship that he watched get destroyed, as it is tied to Alastar. Anyways basically the great war that was going on was long over, but this god kept the campaign going in secret, so nobody knew about the last 50 or so years of the war. The secret campaign as it is called by the few who remember ended shortly after Alastars birth.
