She is the art teacher at the high school so during school hours the students should call her Ms. Gibbs. After school hours she doesn't mind them calling her Maeve. She had been engaged before now but her fiance was killed in a car accident four days before their wedding a year ago. Maeve is still affected by his death at times and she wonders if she will ever be able to love another man like she did with Derek.
