Feeling Forgotten
I am feeling so alone,
Forgotten and unwanted
I feel like a darkened shadow
Even in the brightest room
I feel like I'm being pushed aside,
Cast out, ignored, and shoved away
It's like no one wants to stay around
Unless they want something of me
I want to be a part of something,
Anything with others around
I want them to remember I'm there
Seeking me out when they need advice
But I'm stuck right where I am
Feeling forgotten and far away
Perhaps someday I'll have a friend
That sticks around and doesn't go away.
