The DeVars Chronicles
This is something that would mess up my schedule or turn things another way around - keep me busy for a while.
Chronicles of The Lost Thought: Impressions

DeVars had a nice day today - sleeping on in the late afternoons and enjoying the company of several of his close friends at the wired forums he joined about half a year earlier... and now it's closing Monday once again and he couldn't stay longer anymore at the glory of the midnight silence to place a good thought on his journal.

The large flat LCD monitor at his front showered the thinking guy with it's rays, waiting for me to type in a few words to what good thing happened this day - something good to be considered to be talked about - with the girl in my lost thought.

I tried typing in dawdles and words, but their meaning was so absurd that it didn't made any sense - even after I tried to sew thoughts together. Now what to tell - I was typing this lines when I kinda noticed her sudden appearance from my back. Yeah - somehow I could smell her coming now, or somewhat hear the cling of a bell when she does the sudden show-up.

"So - what are you up to?", she tapped up on my shoulder and looked from behind my back, "And what is that thing on your pointer?", she points at my finger which had a bandaid stuck in it - a virtual bandaid, as I recall - funny she'd seen through that one. No way would a normal person see through that I have one - unless...

She's psychic - and such - and that is a grave impossibility.

"That one is a bandaid... I got a cut there earlier this Monday... last Monday", I replied. She inched in more and used her other small hand to prop over my shoulder and reach in for the hurted finger, and tried to poke it.

She poked at it several times. I felt every one of her attempts, each one getting stronger, deeper and more hard than before. Each time she asks with a small tune of innocence, "None here..."

She was implying on the wound - normally when you put pressure on a wound - it would hurt pretty bad... probably she wants to see my face crumple due to her pokes.

As I didn't even respond to her mischief, she gave up on the spree, took off from my back and walked to my side. "That's potent healing stuff!", she said and gave me a wide smile. Looking at her at that stand - well, she wasn't standing still the whole time, she's shifting from one leg to another, like swaying in to some slow tune.

"Well yeah - some friend of mine gave it earlier.", I said blankly, never knowing she'd look at me with those innocent eyes once again.

"This friend - you have memories of this friend?", she asked in as she moved her face closer to mine, carefully assessing the bewildered face she saw on me. She was this of an inquisitive girl.

I reclaimed in my composure and reasoned back. This close - she was so close to my face that I couldn't even breath properly, "Yeah - sure... I mean, how would you not remember a friend who did a thing for you?"

"So - if I gave you a wound you'll remember me with it, right - after all - wounds end in scars...", she followed quickly and smiled. It wasn't those malicious smiles you see common to people nowadays, but one of which tries to tell you something - desperate.

I quickly motioned a big 'no' by swinging my head sideways, "I'll remember you alright - but remember in a bad way - bad memories. There are also things as such."

"Bad- Me-mo-ries- ", she tried to repeat it exactly as how I said it to her. "Awww - so not all memories are good~ So - when you miss someone - does it mean you also miss the good memories you have in with them?"

I nodded in approval. She was catching in quick. And she, after seeing my positive reply, jumped and smiled and let out a happy laugh. She slid back a few steps and twirled around the room. She also portrayed happiness quite well.

She ended up walking near me again, her head extending over my sight and intentionally blocking my view over the patient monitor awaiting my journal entry. I tried to move my head out of her view but she was insistent and was smiling teasingly, "Hey!", I quickly jutted out to get her attention.

She laughed at my reaction and smiled, "Did you missed me?"
