It's amazing how humbling it is to find out the person you thought you knew, through extended periods of time, can change to be people you would never have socialized with in the first place had you known their imminent personality. How easy it is to change from simple private converstation and lofty flirtation to public isolation and instant placement on the second burner, as it were. How easy it is to fall in love with something that is tempting, so shiney and beautiful upon the shelf, pleasing to watch in the caudrents of your own home, and how dissapointing the realization that the luster is only out of selfish arrogance and overbearing disinterest in the common good of ones own nature. It's amazing how tempting past demons are when the darkness comes to play. It's truly amazing.
