I met Cindy yesterday and she's not only cool, she's also very nice! Luckily her laptop wasn't really broken, the CD drive had just gotten jammed open, so I was able to fix it quickly. She said thanks very nicely and said she liked my clothes. She warned me not to become famous because then you can only wear the one outfit people think of you as wearing...I think she was joking!
I asked her if she knew how Ian is, but she didn't...she said she's not finding out much at all about the whole Sniper case. I told her I hoped he got caught soon because I didn't feel very safe living in Durem while he's still around. She was quite interested and asked if I'd seen the Sniper, but I had to say no. She also asked if I could see the top of the clock tower from where I live...I said I wasn't sure, I thought I might be able to if there was a way to get to the roof, and she gave me her cell phone number and asked me to tell her if I could.
I spent most of this morning looking all over the flat to see if there was a way up, and there is! I picked the lock on a door that had always been locked and behind it were...stairs to the roof! It's large and mostly flat and will make a perfect patio, and it does have a view of the clock tower. I got a pair of binoculers and you can see that little ledge the Sniper shot from really well... It's kind of spooky!
I called Cindy and told her, and she asked if she could come see my place. I said yes, of course, and I told her my address. I'll make a nice tea and see if I can get a table and chairs up to the roof...
Hmmm, that's strange...the ceiling lamp is swaying... Oh well, I don't have time for that! I have to go see if there's a good bakery around here so I can get some goodies for tomorrow...
