Hey all! I'm still in my PJs. Turns out, Sadie actually was sick. I'm shocked, really. Anyway, according to my calendar, today is Palm Sunday, and the Full Moon. I have no clue what that is, so I'm looking it up.
Palm Sunday: the Sunday before Easter, celebrated in commemoration of Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
What I really think is ironic is how all of these religious families celebrate Easter, even though it's a Pagan holiday. During the time of Pagans in Greece, they worshiped Eostre (pronounced S-ter) who was the goddess of fertility. Back in those days, they believed rabbits were a form of the goddess, because they were very fertile creatures who could reproduce at large scales. They also collected eggs from their hens, boiled them, and then painted colors and messages on them, and presented them to as a gift to the goddess. As you see, this is very similar to what we celebrate today. The Easter bunny, finding eggs and painting them, gifts, etc. etc.
So, to get out of being intelligent, I've had an alright week. I'm chillin' in here, and I'm gonna watch Despicable Me for the first time later. I've seen bits and pieces of it in my 4th period class. Other than that, there's nothing going on. I'm hoping all this stuff on Easter can keep you entertained.
