Unintentionally, I closed my eyes and leaned back against the wall of the school. Frightful scenes flashed across my lids, literally making me scream and jump in fear. I opened my eyes once more, taking deep breaths to calm myself.
After a few moments I looked around, noting that the prep and populars had seen my little ‘episode’ and where snickering to themselves about their schools resident crazy. Not that I really cared what they thought, I’d just rather no one see me in that state. I sighed and waited a bit longer before entering the school, setting my backpack beside my desk.
The teacher looked at me, then my bag and shook his head, but he didn’t dare say anything to me about it, the last time he did, he was out of school for an entire week afterward. So was I of course, but no one can separate it from me. No one… I looked at his hand, seeing the teeth mark scars I had left there and smiled, at the very least it has deterred anyone from me, and my precious backpack, with its delicate, precious cargo.
My classes when according to schedule, with extra boring packed into each progressive hour, but like every other student, I suffered through it. When the bell had finally wrung I stood, grabbed my bag and headed for the door. About twenty minutes and two blocks later, I heard someone behind me.
“Kilah, Kilaaaah…” they called, trying to sound creepy.
I turned to look at them. There stood three of my schools biggest jocks, the baseball teams’ pitcher, the football teams’ quarterback, and the soccer teams’ goalie. I stared them down, and clenched my fists. My upper lip twisted into a snarl, showing them my slightly sharper then average canine teeth.
