Does it matter if I'm the only one asking questions about their life or even their day? Too many disinterested people who use me to validate them, but can't return the favor. I'm tired of not mattering. I'm tired of trying to connect to people, being granted a flicker of hope, and being left waiting for some of those simple senses of value to be reciprocated. Tell me I'm important. Tell me you care. Do you really? Do your actions attest to that?
