The DeVars Chronicles
This is something that would mess up my schedule or turn things another way around - keep me busy for a while.
Chronicles of the Lost Thought: Un-Re-Wind

It isn't the time to say the night is young.

A nasty thing to say especially for someone like me who needs to get up early. These words are for the avid night-owl that patiently waits for the coming of the dark, real dark, to fell swoop it's prey.

But me - never. You could wait the whole night out and find yourself a shooting star, wish out the night to come early and make you sleep, and wait for it to happen.

That request's gonna take about six months.

I am looking outside this late time, wondering where the night sky had hid - the deep dark blanket that always puts me to sleep. It was a temperate so-so night. Not so cold, not that hot. The soft clicks of my keys accompany the slow music I play around the player, "Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers"... slo~w music... the right music I needed. Only if it could be more of a lullabye then it would make the night right.

The mental bell suddenly rang behind my ears. She's finally come. The music suddenly shifted from slow to something faster "Ichirin no Hana - HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR". Nice luck... it's not gonna let me sleep until I finish this composition.

I could've hoped she stood there just looking but ... as usual... I oversaid myself...again. A click and another, she reached her hands on the keyboard, leaning on and getting her hands over my shoulders. A...r...e... y...o...u... o...k...a...y..., she typed in. She smiled there after looking at the side of my face, very hopeful that I notice her trips.

I'm okay. ^ ^, I typed, still silent and feigning the cold shoulder - not looking back after her charming stare.

Don't. , she replied, typing in slower than me, her hands barely reaching the keys. Noticing her efforts, I leaned more so she could reach farther... towards the numbers.

I was surprised to her reply that moment... don't??? Why would she wouldn't want me to feel fine?

But she wasn't finished yet - small fingers reached in for more letters typing in Break the day - you NEED to sleep.

It couldn't be helped that a smile got loose to my face. She saw it. She saw the whole thing. I can't mask the astonishment. Break the day. That was a very interesting way of putting things.

My composition..., I promptly complained. That was the only thing left keeping me awake. It needs to be finished immediately.

...has just been finished., she added, and - with those hands - curled around my neck and gave me a firm hug. She kissed the cheek that dared not showed her a face, the one that smiled spontaneously at the crafty phrase.

And finally the whole facade shattered. I looked back to find where the sudden aggression came from and immediately returned the favor. In the end, she was the one who broke the day... putting me to sleep.
