I hate what you are yet love you.
Darling Conner sat at the dinner table waiting for his parents to serve dinner he'd actually got to set the table to night. He couldn't figure out why dad didn’t just the bots to set the table like the other kids parents, he asked one night and his Father Druzo Conner said "it builds character, and you can't depend on them for everything."
His father had been excited recently about having one of his friends from work over, so mom stuffed Darling in the little suit he wore. He hated waring it, it was itchy and hot d he could barely move. Darling looked at the To flash holograms of crashes and warning about magic users in big red signs and lights it floated above a scene of a crash and fire belching from the upturn cars.
The doorbell rang and his mother went to answer the door, the sounds of talking and greeting as the party started off, about an hour in the was a crash of glass being broken. Darling walked to the edge of the hallway and started to her the screams he ran to see what the commotion was about, about have way down the hall the smell of smoke hit his nose along with the free alarm and sprinklers going off but the screams continued to grow louder and louder still. Once he reached the room a man in a long coat and long dark hair covering most of his face due to the water was holding his hand to the crowd that was surrounded by flames that glowed a sickening green. His father was a front of the crowd yelling at the Coat man. The Coat man laughed as his eyes began to glow green and flames erupted from his hands and showered his parents and the crowd their screams filled the air. Darling’s eyes wide with terror he screamed and ran, alerting the Coat man who said something and Darlings stopped in his tracks, something had grabbed him and held him in place a few feet off the ground. Next the invisible hand turned him around and he was almost to the fire extinguisher but he got caught. The Coat Man looked at him with those glowing eyes and Darling wet himself. The Coat Man laughed and looked up, second’s later Darling back was against the ceiling and all he could do was watch his home and life burn down around him. If only his tears could put out the fire.
That was nine years ago, now nineteen he stood in line for in-processing, the hate burning in his heart as hot as ever.
Her family had been different from others. Once upon a time they had been very talented witches. Until the War happened even though many of their kind had fought bravely in the War they were now being hunted and killed.
