"Wake up Cold"

Sometimes I fall asleep at night,
Wondering if you'll come.
I hear your footsteps.
And then the door.
Your silhoutte casts shadows on the floor.
You fall and I catch you.
You change and I change you back.
Darkness flows deep within your heart,
I am the one to stop that flow,
For at least a little while.
Afterwards we ly in bed,
And think of all that's been said.
Nothing really,
We don't talk much.
Just a few words and such.
I know I shouldn't,
Worry about you.
You can take care of yourself.
But I still want to be there for you,
And you to be there for me.
But now I realize,
Its all a dream.
My life is a big fantasy,
A fiction novel,
Waiting to be writen.
And now I see,
My life is meaningless.
And has no value.
Just a life that's waiting to die.
Alone and cold.
Sometimes I remain awake.
And your silhoutte has yet to arrive.
I hear footsteps outside my door.
But none of them are yours.
Come back to me and never leave.
The voices outside my door,
Say that something bad has happened.
No one will tell me.
Then I awaken, cold,
And tired.
I look beside me to find your still asleep.
Your raven hair covering your perfect face.
Your black eyes, closed.
And your breathing, soft.
"A dream?"I asked my silhoutte cast upon you from the dim light.
The next day, I stand over your corpse,
Bloody, and beaten.
"Murdered."said an older woman.
"The young boy had it coming.
Fighting for his last time."
And now /my/ time is done,
For you no longer exsist.
You aren't beside me,
Holding my hand, guiding me.
And as always I am depressed.
I now sleep alone,
Waking up to horrible dreams that you once conforted me to.
Telling me it'd be all right,
And that nothing will ever happen.
But things happened,
And my world, changed,
And now, I wake up cold.
