Thought Balloons and Cotton Swabs
Bad news from around the world and tales of redemption.
Outrageous
It bothers me when I think that I have
gained something, but lost a lot to get it.

For example, this afternoon I was vend-whoring in hopes
of finding a "cheap" Sealed Envelope.
After about 30 minutes of missing a few mis-priced ones,
I finally managed to nab one for 9900g. After quickly pasting
my password into the confirmation box and clicking "Buy!"
and being shown the page that says that the money had gone through,
I threw a triumphant fist into the air and shouted, "YES! I GOT IT!"

After reveling in my successful purchase, I thought about how sad
it is now that I find below 10k a cheap price for a Sealed Envelope.
I think it's just sad that I'm scowering the Marketplace for someone
else's screw up for my own personal gain. I think it's kind of wrong,
personally, that Sealed Envelopes have shot up to prices over 10k.

It's just wrong. I'm sorry, but it just is.

Sorry to go all "oldbie" on you, but I remember back in the good
old days when I could buy 3 Sealed Envelopes a month for 5k a piece.
One for saving, and two that I can open for both items.
That was my plan since the end of 2005. Sure, I have a letter
from each month in 2006 so far stashed away for future funds,
but gold is becoming harder and harder to come by now with this
new system. Now I make about 10k in half a month, and that goes towards
that one letter that I can get. Sometimes I just decide to be
spontaneous and go out and buy a whole new outfit just because
I can, but then I'm kicking myself for not saving that gold for
those outrageous Sealed Envelope prices.

It's all ridiculous if you ask me.
