It always amazes me how incredibly stupid people are. Yesterday at work was one of those times. A guy comes into the store and steals two 24pks of Pepsi from the lobby area and puts them in his car. Another customer saw him, wrote down his licence plate and a description of the car. He comes back a while later with his brother. (same car, too) He goes to a cashier and checks out some groceries. Mike S, one of the managers, comes down and catches the guy. They get into a scream fest. It was pretty frightening to see Mike screaming like that. I'm pretty sure I saw a vein popping out of his head. It was scary. They get the guy into the front end manager's office. This guy's brother is just like "I want nothing to do with this! I had no idea! I'll tell you whatever you wanna know just dont arrest me." Connie, one of the coordinators, calls the police and there's more screaming. Finally, they take him away in hand cuffs.
Earlier yesterday, I heard about a woman who stole a little cheapo bottle of vodka and some other stuff she had in her purse. Cindy and Elise said she reaked of alcohol and was obviously very plastered. Mike got her to admit that she had previously stollen two other bottles as well.
And, since I'm on a roll here, I'll tell the story I heard from Lisa, another coordinator at work. About a month ago, they caught a 14 year old boy stealling a pack of condoms while shopping with his parents!!! I'll say it again. A 14 year old stole a box of condoms WHILE SHOPPING WITH HIS PARENTS!!!!!! WHAAAAT?!?!?! Now, I may be very old fashioned or something, but a 14 year old shouldn't know what a condom is! Let alone, trying to steal a pack while with his parents! What the hell!?
